Issues with VSTs

I'm still running X2a on Windows 7, and now every time I try to load a vst into a track, Sonar crashes. The plugins are Amplitube plugins, (Fender, Amplitube2, etc.) also EZDrummer. Maybe my VST File path is too indirect. My plugins are loaded to "virtual instruments/Amplitube/ Amp Fender." And the vst dlls go to :vstplugins.

I've just reinstalled sonar, but the issue still exists..... next, reinstall plugins??

    RESET + Rescan.
Are there updates for your plugins? Do you have duplicate plugins elsewhere that shouldn't be loaded? Maybe 32 bit ones?
Also (last thing to do) try renaming you AUD.INI file.

    Cheers

Paths should not matter as long as the VST scanner can find them. You do not indicate if you are running 32 or 64bit. If you are running 64bit make sure to use the 64bit version of the plug-ins.

I'll try to reset then rescan. Running 32 bit. Maybe I have multiple instances of the plugins, because during the vst scan, I constantly have to click off scan errors, some mutiple times for the same plugin.

FWIW I usde AmpliTube all the time with 64-bit X3d, so I know it works. IK had some updates a while ago, make sure you have them. Made a big difference.
