viewing last night.
First time for 3d TV for us and it was amazing!

    Do you have to wear the 3D glasses or.......is it a 3D screen in front of a screen or summin like that? Which movie did you see?

    If you're liking the 3D experience, this might be your next upgrade.......coming to a theatre near you.

    Our 52" Sony died so we replaced with a 55" Sony Bravia, Sony soundbar/sub and Sony 3d player. Didn't come with glasses so had to purchase and got 3 Sony glasses.

    All the DVD movies that have been offered with 3d I've been buying because I knew we'd probably end up 3d...so a shelf full to check out.

    We watched Tin-Tin with our grand daughter and later my wife and I watched Lincoln the vampire slayer or something...just amazing.
    This morning before heading out to work we checked out IMAX coral reefs...just amazing.

    The 4d sounds like what I saw at Disneyworld...although I think the smells were not part of the films.

    The glasses are great. They fit over eyeglasses and are light. Didn't bother me at all and really didn't even think about having them on.

    That's great Michael.....I've only watched 3D movies back in the 80's (yeah...cheezy), but this sounds really interesting......

    I used to read/collect all the Tin-Tin comic books when I was around 10 and they're really good comic books.....the cartoon didn't seem to live up to the book (possibly the imagination took over in the book). 

    I'm planning on takin my 3 little ones to an IMAX theater........that should be an interesting experience (if they don't get too scared with sheer size/sounds).

    3D today has made great strides since the 80's versions. Very watchable (and enjoyable) with the current technology.
     
    I saw "The Polar Express" a fews years back in IMAX 3D. Really changed my attitude towards 3D compared to what I remember from prior decades. But I still wonder whether it is going to continue or not. Personally I think it will. 3D gaming does perk my interest although I have yet to indulge.

    My TV supposedly can do 3D but I haven't tried it - no glasses. I'm holding out for the next-generation of glass-less 3D. The technology already exists and has been demonstrated at trade shows, and at least one manufacturer was even scheduled to release a commercial product two years ago but bagged it because it felt the market was too small. Those 3D glasses may end up on a folding table in your driveway alongside your 8-track player and pet rocks.


    All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

    LOL....I missed the pet rock thing.
    My wife and I have to wear glasses so it's cool.
    I still have the paper blue and red film ones so there is an existing pile to toss them though. :)
     
    Ken I have that one but haven't watched it yet. Looking forward to seeing this new stuff. Ya'll are
    welcome to watch with us....you'll need your own glasses though...I'll supply the popcorn.
