It's Hard To Say Goodbye
I decided to leave this one simple. Played on my acoustic and sang the parts. The idea for the song came after waking from very sad dream with this melody in my head. I didn't have the words so I worked on words that seemed to fit what I felt. I didn't write this song about myself or anyone I directly know, although it resonates with me in some ways . Westside steve- Its funny. I was sad when I came up with the lyrics but I got the distinct feeling I wrote it for someone else.I guess from that perspective it came from my heart to who ever they might be.

It's a very powerful song Tim. As I first began to listen I thought it was a little too simply produced and needed something extra, but by about the 30sec mark I was right there with you. By the end I was standing applauding. Some songs are just meant to come through, there are many stories of musicians being given a song while they're asleep, a testimony to you to have given it just the right words.

Hey Tim. Nice song. I like the lyrics. Wow your muse is in attendance even while your sleeping. The merging of the setting sun with the sudden exit speaks volumes. I liked too that "the touch of your hand and the look in your eye" implies that it might have been just as difficult for the one gone to find the right words. Like your "It's hard to say goodbye I can't even try". Anyway, I liked it so thanks for sharing it. Jim
