Yup.

Actually a "test/experiment" song I've been playing with since X3 is B5 inspired.

I'll finish/release it eventually but am working on more practical/long overdue things currently.

I'll take bad sci-fi any day, before I'll watch a show about doctors, lawyers or rich people.

The first couple seasons are kind of cheesoid and random but once the story arc kicks in B5 is pretty solid.

the "new" Battlestar?  I thought it was horrible!

didn't care for Dexter either.

B5 - I've not watched it in a LONG time, but I used to watch it all the time when it first came out.

Hi,

Aside from the really bad directing of some of the shows that grossly mis-use Christopher Franke's music, the show is actually good, and interesting. I would have been a bit more riske with it, to make things more appealing to a wider audience, but the show was stuck with too many poor choices, for directing and defining their next story, in my book.

There is no excuse to use anything, music or sound included as just a filler. It cheapens the product and hurts the overall design.

When you listen to Christopher's releases on his own, they are much better and have much more continuity that the series was afraid to touch.

Music is not about notes and chords! My poem is not about the computer or monitor or letters! It's about how I was able to translate it from my insides!

love it

but i dont think they miss used it. they was on a minimal, tight budget. so they had to do it this way, and i think it worked well...

its 10 years since last time i watch it. and now it is with friends who also love the show. makes it spesial. when the show was on telly, and when i first got the dvd, i didn't have friend who would watch it with me. so this is great. everyone has to be there so every one sees each episode in full.

There were so many things I loved about Babylon 5. Some of the choices irritated me, but in general, I loved that show.

Also, in my ever so worthless opinion, Firefly was one of the finest Sci-Fi shows of all time. The Fox execs who were too stupid to follow the plot and couldn't understand the basic premise should have volunteered to go into a self imposed exile for the remainder of their incredibly ignorant lives in order to spare society from the impact of their unbelievable idiocy.

That last part may just be my opinion, though.

Loved B5. Must have gone through it 3 or more times. I participated in forums with jms, the writer when it was originally airing. The character development was amazing. RIP Andreas Katsulas, he was simply amazing as G'Kar and by far my favorite character. I though Mira Furlan was excellent too, shame she didn't get some great movie roles after B5.

Firefly was also great. I got into it after it had run its short course. The dialog was incredibly funny. I like Whedon's stuff. He did a great job with the 1st Avengers movie too.

Hated BS Glactica. Hated the silly original as well as the tedious remake. I think they made it up as they went along. That's what I liked so much about B5. The story arc was create long before the last season and jms even hinted at how things would turn out. At the end, almost everything made sense.

*nerd flame semi successful*

Seriously though... FF was too heavy on the "space cowboy" schtick (at least ST TNG had the decency to keep that schlock in the holodeck) and heavy undertones of "the south will rise again!!" when what I REALLY wanted to see was those wacky skin eaters they were always talking about, Summer Glau going all freaky deaky mind bazooka-ey and some intense "China as the rulers of earth based spaced dwellers" action.

Then again I am an Andromeda guy which for some reason nobody likes.

Lexx is weird but certainly enjoyable (also... nice bewbs).

Actually... I should rewatch Lexx. Totally forgot about that one and haven't seen it in years.

Now let's talk about Red Dwarf. Because Red Dwarf is awesome... in a completely cheesetastic way.

Red Dwarf was part of my Friday evening 'escape' after a stressful week in the late '80's/early '90's, usually alongside Rab C. Nesbitt and Shooting Stars..and about a litre of cheap red wine.

Red Dwarf was a freaking left-field riot (as was IT Crowd although not SciFi).  RD makes me think of the old British TV series for Douglas Adam's "Hitchhiker's Guide..".  Did you all catch the original "Marvin" in the Vorgon queue when the HOG crew goes to get Trillian released in the HHG film of a few years back?

Lexx was weirdly entertaining. I especially liked episodes in which Xenia Seeberg appeared!

I thought, honestly, that the series needed another season, but it wasn't to be. The stuff with Marena Baccarin needed to be resolved better, and in the movie it wasn't. The movie somewhat winded things down to close the book, but in the end, it took out a bunch of rather finely defined characters and killed a story line that deserved a lot more, than just some new this or that on another planet for their story line. The brother/sister thing, needed some clearing up, and she would have been a nice addition to the "new" group in the next season, but it wasn't to be.
