One of my favorite songs, not the Tears For Fears version though.

It sounds nice so good job on that, just a couple of things.  I think the conversion process has gone wrong, there are a lot of digital artifacts on the piano at the begining.  Also becareful on the vocal inflections you can sing nicely but it seems to me that you are over singing it somewhat in places.

But nice job.

 Thanks Warren, Yup been a while since I was here ...Last year I toured Europe with SAGA as their Drum Tech. So I wasn`t at home much to be able to do much music. I play keys but very basic nothing spectacular...I would just learn what I needed to know for when I was in the Rob Zombie tribute band Devils Rejects. I couldn`t sit down and Jam anything on keys if you know what I mean...Yes I consider myself a singer. Most of the covers I have done in the past have been from MIDI files using my VST`s...so I guess I`m a PRV guy more so. Holy crap this surprised me so much I almost coughed up my tea man! The vocals are HUGE! It was far from what I expected after hearing one hundred thousand billion gadzillion's of thousands versions of this song. And this is a compliment.

The gloomy piano is really cool and really fills up the soundscape nicely. And the vocals on top of it was seriously cool! I love the paning of it and that insanely huge layer of it.

The spoken thing towards the end isn't quite to my taste but having said that, you have a cool voice for a spoken vocal as well, not to mention, your singing is damn spot on too!


All in all, I loved the production of this and I thought the version was worth a comment too. And I'm diving in for a second listen as well!

Hey there Alkie, good to see you back. Can you hear me now? :-) I like it. I may drop that low vox in the beginning a little (or remove it?) but the cover probably has it? If so, I understand.  I had to do "duck and cover" drills as a young child... Your execution was good, but this whole song sounds "like an intro?" To me, if I were to rewrite this hit cover? :-) I would start it like that, and then pump it up a bit? And then back it down to how it ended. But hey? How many hit songs have I written?

Very nice, that's one of my favorite vocal songs. And I really enjoyed the Donny Darko movie, too. The Civil Defense part at the end made it a little different. But overall this is well-done.

Do you mean SAGA as in SAGA SAGA? From the late 70's?

Wow cool! Now I remember why the name rang a bell. I saw the poster I think, and perhaps it was that, something sparked a conversation at a pub last fall about SAGA which persuaded the bartender to put SAGA on the stereo. Cool! Well done. perhaps next time I'll make it to the show

It's been awhile, man. Great to hear that you're gainfully employed...even if it means we don't get to hear your music as much...

I'm only vaguely familiar with the original version of this song but I'm really liking what your doing with it.  Your vocal sounds great against that dark piano. Nice effects at the end, too.

Great job on the tune and it's great to hear you singing, again!

I`m running on the bare minimum right now....Silly me decided when I upgraded to X1 to also upgrade computer to Win 7 64bit....Think this will be the last time I ever do that ...can you say Procrastination has crept in....The hours of programs and disc to load is unbareable LOL!!!!!!

Very true to the original but you made this your own. EXCELLENT vocal and harmonies. I guess if I had to NIT I would push the lead vox harmony back a smidge.  I really like the tone of your lead vox, but the backing harmony seems to be stepping on it. Maybe it needs verb or something I just can't put my finger on it. GREAT cover/performance
