It's all kicking off in Boston
Officer killed at MIT, a carjacking (said to be two Middle Eastern suspects), reported explosions (possibly grenades) and one suspect is in custody. I have a strong suspicion that this is connected to the marathon bombing, and we may have our suspects.

Link to article about the grenade, and suspect in custody? All I can find is MIT http://www.reuters.com/ar...-idUSBRE93I04520130419 This is horrible, this has been a really bad week. I hope they just shoot the other suspect on site. I know that is not, "enlightened," of me.

I did a short sleep, but I've been drinking my early morning coffee for a couple of hours. My guess is that, "The Cakewalk Team," are all at home right now, and I hope everybody is safe and accounted for. I don't know what anybody else knows about the city of Boston, I did my first two years of College ( University for our European friends ) around Boston. My family also has a place in Upstate NY, and the drive from our house in NY to Cape Cod is only 2 hours or so. In the early 2000s, I did the drive several times, because my g/f at the time was from Provincetown, which is an area on the Cape. Despite what you see on tv, which is, "urban and suburban," the rest of the area is very, "woodsy." Boston is not a big, sprawling Metropolis like Paris, London, and Los Angeles. The roads that lead out of Boston, and Massachusetts run into Connecticut and New York very quickly. I remember, I once received a speeding ticket in Mass, and I thought to myself, "damn, in ten minutes I would have been in NY." The relevance of that is, here in the USA, cars with out of state license plates, get pulled over very quickly." You can really travel quickly from one state to another, up in that area. Which is why, you are seeing the entire city on lock down. Because up there in that, "Tri-State, Mass NY Connecticut area," its so easy to disappear into the woods, or into another state. Which is not the case in London, or Paris, or Los Angeles, and I guess NYC as well. People who live in those cities know, "it will take you a while, on foot, or in car, on public transit or what have you," to leave those areas. Beyond that, it does look like they have him locked down somewhere, but I do not think they can be sure, until this is all over. Once again, I just want to say that, "I hope all our friends in Mass," that is all the people at Cakewalk, and also just the general population that we do not know, are safe.

The Religion Of Pieces again. I hope they get the second savage soon. Preferably alive, but in great pain. I just saw the ER photo of his dead brother. Very graphic. His face is covered in blood, there's a couple of bullet holes in him and a huge big gaping hole where his left rib cage should be. As far as I know they other brother drove over his body in the SUV when he made his getaway. And now we have the Chechnyan president blaming America for turning these lowlifes into monsters, because it couldn't possibly have happened at home, a wonderful peaceful & loving country from which the Beslan school massacre perps hailed.

Sharke you really are a piece of work. You seem to be relishing in imposing your barroom theories all over the forum in relation to these tragedies. Most people are intelligent enough to draw their own conclusions from factual information presented without your seemingly incessant craving to bomb this place with your often inflammatory and polarized opinions. It's pretty sick to watch, especially on a forum about music software that expressly forbids political debate for the good reasons that your posts clearly highlight.

I pray for the victims in all this. Lost limbs. Life. Families changed for ever. Plus that fact that it will change how Americans will be patted down at sporting and concert events.. Forever ... Freedom is almost gone That being said ... And you know this is true cause America has done this in the past .., They will make a movie about it .... Millions of dollars will be made... And Leo Dicaprio will get an Oscar. And that will be almost as tragic as the event itself.

Ok. So the lock-down is lifted, and the boy/man/terrorist has not been found. Yeah, like I was saying, this is a very woodsy area, this is a very back-roads area, this is definitely not the sprawling concrete jungle of London, Paris, Nyc, LA, Atlanta, Miami, etc, etc. Boston is a very old city, its really kind of a smaller city. For a, "pro wrestler, quick athlete," type of guy, you can really run far and fast into the woods, especially if you are already at the outer edges of what would be considered the urban zone, which is what I imagine is the case with the Watertown Area.

Just a thought, maybe this guy disappeared into the woods and committed suicide, and it is only a matter of finding the body? I don't really want to speculate.. but I would not be surprised.

sharke Jonbouy, I'm not presenting any "theories" at all, just commenting on the facts as reported. Although for the record, I have absolutely no respect for you whatsoever and hence your opinions are inconsequential. You are kidding of course. There's a good few pages of your debate on 'free trade' and 'marxism' in a thread on the same subject upstairs. Here you have alluded to people of middle eastern appearance, and you are now citing the Chechnyan govt representative blaming the US, whilst sarcastically refering to ITS regime yourself. Since when did you become an international diplomat? You are an animal, and lets not forget regardless of your skin tone of non-middle eastern appearance, no more American than these two suspects. Which might be a good reminder before you get too carried away with yourself. Most of your commentary has been completely outside of the TOS here. Get yourself a life, and stop vicariously living yours through other peoples misfortunes on a forum where it is completely inappropiate to do so, if there is indeed one where your behaviour is appropiate then why not just take it there? These folk at Cakewalk are on lockdown and I'm having to report this incessant crap from you just because you can't help yourself. They've already had to close the one where people including myself were paying respects to Margaret Thatcher because you couldn't keep your political views to yourself, it's shameful. If you want to get into politics run for governer and try to win some votes, don't keep dictating to people what they ought to think or where there views are wrong! It's distasteful at best, it cetainly sickens me, and it doesn't belong here.

I was just responding to the usual "America is an evil country" claptrap that always pops up in response to stuff like this. I was also responding to some generalized Marxist BS that needed responding to. I notice you don't condemn anyone else who contributed politically to that thread, including the person I was responding to. I said they were of "Middle Eastern appearance" because that's what they were saying on the police scanner. Just reporting what I heard. I then offered an opinion on the remarks made earlier by the Chechnyan president, remarks that were obviously ridiculous and deserved a response. All innocent stuff Jonbouy, no need to get your hysterical panties in a bunch over. You yourself have contributed to political discussions, so please do not give me all of this BS about "TOS violations." You're no saint on that score. You have taken a dislike to me, and believe me I have taken a dislike to you. You're just not my kind of guy. Tragic, I know, but true.....however, I'm not going to get all pompous and hammer you for TOS violations that I myself am guilty of. Again Jonbouy, just calm the F down and stop using me as a platform on which to voice all of your frustrations in life. I sicken you? Tough...go and take a flying F at a rolling donut. Like I said, I have absolutely no respect for you in any way, shape or form.

It's not something I've ever thought, let alone something I would say, nor can I honestly think of anyone that I know that would think it or say it either. As with many of your generalizations it doesn't hold up in comparison to the high regard many outside of the US have for the American nation. Of course it has it's enemies but what nation doesn't? No you're right I should leave you to it, after all leaving you with your need for self-importance, weight and influence on World events fulfilled on a specialist back-water of the internet is probably more healthy than having you in a position where you could do any real harm. Also it's many years since I've been bothered whether somebody likes me or not, it's kind of inevitable that when you become true to yourself that you ain't gonna please everyone else. It's very liberating, I highly recommend it.

That was totally insane. I can not believe how many units of police and federal agents were mobilized. That was easily, the largest manhunt ever, on American Soil. I have my thoughts that they not only killed suspect 1, and took custody of suspect 2, but they also brought down whatever associates that we are not really being told about. We do know they arrested 3 others. I do not think much of the story will ever be brought to light. Anyways, the media is so nuts. I really try not to watch news, because I find it nothing but exhausting, and negative, but I couldn't help but tune in to this extraordinary anti-terror event; but believe me, I'm worn out as all from that whole scene. It's very liberating, I highly recommend it. Of course I never claimed that everyone hates America, I was just responding to one specific person who was taking that slant. Be honest Jonbouy. Like many people, I make comments, have opinions, respond to other people's opinions. There is nothing wrong with that whatsoever. But because I've gotten into political arguments with you (in which you have disregarded the forum's TOS as much as anyone, let's be honest), it seems that you're going to take umbrage every time I express a view that you don't like. I would just get over it mate, all that pent up bitterness is going to eat you up inside. The funniest part of all this is where you accuse me of politicizing a thread in which you were so respectfully "paying your respects to Margaret Thatcher," when in reality you were just using the thread to take a politicized swing at her ( "Personally I think it her greatest credit to us all was by giving us the clear opportunity to see that greed ultimately will eat itself."). Hilarious! You are one of the biggest hypocrites on this forum. And you're also an extremely nasty and unpleasant person. "Reporting me to Cakewalk" for expressing political views, when you've done exactly the same yourself? Launching personal attacks on me because you've got some pathetic grudge? I'll say it now and get it over with: you're scum. I bet your neighbors loathe you

Some sorta crazy propaganda his head got filled with, and he couldn't find an outlet of love; so he found hate.. But I'm a musician, not a dr.. I don't know what happened to his mind

chuckebaby sharke Linear Phase That was totally insane. I can just imagine some of these Fed Agents having been awake literally since Monday, with perhaps the odd power nap. That was incredible work on their parts. Sorted. Go USA The three they arrested were from New Bedford, apparently. I have to say that is one miserable, depressing place (at least the times I've passed through it, I've never seen so many glum faces). you might not understand there are folks on this forum from New Bedford. considering all they've been through this week your post could be considered offensive. its not just Boston, a lot of people in Massachusetts were at that finish line. And there were a lot of people from New York, too. However, I don't mind when people call New York a crime ridden hole. I'm telling the truth, New Bedford is a pretty glum looking place. If anyone's offended by that, I suggest they just block me and get on with their lives.

Hopefully the mods will delete this distasteful thread soon. Extremism and vitriole is just that.. it matter not from what part of the loony spectrum it is, its all dangerous... and this is the coffee house... not Hyde Park Corner
