Maybe it's already shut down. Maybe we're just all operating within a parallel universe and system.

There was a message from Meng stating that this forum will end soon, however, it will remain open as a read only forum for a short while.

So just post in the new Cakewalk forum and come here to read older post until it's shut down.

SONAR X3 PRODUCER - I NEED HELP PLEASE!  THERE IS NO PHONE NUMBER OR EMAIL ADDRESS TO USE FOR CAKEWALK AS THEIR WEBSITE SAYS THEIR "EMAIL IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION."  I HAVE PURCHASED SONAR PRODUCTS FOR YEARS.  I UPGRADED FROM WINDOWS 7 TO WINDOWS 10 JUST YESTERDAY (JANUARY 1, 2019) AND REINSTALLED MY SONAR X3 PRODUCER WHICH I USE ALMOST EVERYDAY.  IT WILL NOT ALLOW ME TO REGISTER MY PRODUCT STATING, "THE SERIAL NUMBER YOU HAVE PROVIDED IS NOT A VALID SERIAL NUMBER."  YES IT IS!  IF ANYONE SAYS TO RIGHT CLICK THE ICON THAT EXECUTES SONAR X3 PRODUCER AND RUN IT "AS ADMINISTRATOR" AND THEN REGISTER IT, THAT DOES NOT WORK EITHER.  UNLESS I GET HELP, MY SONAR X3 PRODUCER IS DEAD IN THE WATER AND IT WILL EXPIRE IN 30 DAYS.  I HAVE BEEN A GOOD CUSTOMER OF CAKEWALK, AND THERE IS NO PLACE THROUGH THEIR CONTACT INFORMATION TO GET A HOLD OF THEM.  PLEASE HELP ME.  I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT!  PLEASE GET BACK WITH ME.

Cakewalk as a company doesn't exist anymore, you can't contact them. The name was bought by BandLab, who have released their version of Sonar - 'Cakewalk by Bandlab' - for free. Get it here;

Considering that Debbie had to click through that notice about CbB to be able to make that panicked post....I hope she gets the help she needs.

At this point, I`m reminded of those Japanese soldiers they would find from time totime on Pacific islands who hadn`t gotten the word that the war had ended 10-15 years earlier.

How can you be a Sonar user with an Internet connection and not know that Gibson dumped it and there`s a freeware successor?
