It's that time of the year

FOR..... static electricity.... arc a spark.

Be sure you touch something grounded before you touch the computer... just to be safe.

Don't need any horror stories.

For me this is a no brainer.... when I set down the first thing I do it turn on the light. The light is a florescent under counter light with a metal grounded case and switch... instantly discharged to ground.

    What do you mean by touch something grounded?
    I don't understand what "grounding" is, when it comes to your sentence.
    And by the way, what does it mean when it says "This appliance must be earthed"?
