It said in the news article that Sony contacted their customers but I haven't received anything from them.

Here's what I got today Bub...

Valued PlayStation Network/Qriocity Customer:

We have discovered that between April 17 and April 19, 2011, certain PlayStation Network and Qriocity service user account information was compromised in connection with an illegal and unauthorized intrusion into our network. In response to this intrusion, we have:
1)     Temporarily turned off PlayStation Network and Qriocity services;
2)     Engaged an outside, recognized security firm to conduct a full and complete investigation into what happened; and
3)     Quickly taken steps to enhance security and strengthen our network infrastructure by re-building our system to provide you with greater protection of your personal information.
We greatly appreciate your patience, understanding and goodwill as we do whatever it takes to resolve these issues as quickly and efficiently as practicable.
Although we are still investigating the details of this incident, we believe that an unauthorized person has obtained the following information that you provided: name, address (city, state/province, zip or postal code), country, email address, birthdate, PlayStation Network/Qriocity password and login, and handle/PSN online ID. It is also possible that your profile data, including purchase history and billing address (city, state, zip), and your PlayStation Network/Qriocity password security answers may have been obtained. If you have authorized a sub-account for your dependent, the same data with respect to your dependent may have been obtained. While there is no evidence that credit card data was taken at this time, we cannot rule out the possibility.  If you have provided your credit card data through PlayStation Network or Qriocity, to be on the safe side we are advising you that your credit card number (excluding security code) and expiration date may have been obtained.

For your security, we encourage you to be especially aware of email, telephone, and postal mail scams that ask for personal or sensitive information. Sony will not contact you in any way, including by email, asking for your credit card number, social security, tax identification or similar number or other personally identifiable information. If you are asked for this information, you can be confident Sony is not the entity asking.  When the PlayStation Network and Qriocity services are fully restored, we strongly recommend that you log on and change your password.  Additionally, if you use your PlayStation Network or Qriocity user name or password for other unrelated services or accounts, we strongly recommend that you change them, as well.

To protect against possible identity theft or other financial loss, we encourage you to remain vigilant to review your account statements and to monitor your credit or similar types of reports.

We thank you for your patience as we complete our investigation of this incident, and we regret any inconvenience.  Our teams are working around the clock on this, and services will be restored as soon as possible. Sony takes information protection very seriously and will continue to work to ensure that additional measures are taken to protect personally identifiable information. Providing quality and secure entertainment services to our customers is our utmost priority.  Please contact us at www.eu.playstation.com/psnoutage should you have any additional questions.

Sincerely,
Sony Network Entertainment and Sony Computer Entertainment Teams

Just an update ... better stock up on snacks, drinks, caffeine, Depends™ ...

Tuesday the 14th is the big day.

It's official ...

Duke will finally be here.

Watching the extended trailer for DNF at the beginning of South Park the other night he sounds a little older, but still has the 'tude!

I haven't been this happy since Andre' the Giant body slammed Big John Stud and cut his hair off!

Of course the media is giving ole Duke a bad rating but I'm enjoying it.  I lost it when halfway through the pig's playing in the mud....priceless.

I picked up on that too. :)

Overall I enjoyed it, but I was disappointing for a few reasons. The graphics looked really old. Wouldn't you think if it took over a decade to get your game out, you'd come out with something a little better than that?

There was no hidden area's like in all the old DN games (that I could find), the audio was horrible, I ended up shutting off the surround sound and ran it through my TV, you couldn't save as you go, it was only half as long as previous games, no jet pack (which was a big part of DN3D), could only carry 2 weapons at a time. The trailer lied, it showed a level with a submarine (which was in DN3D), that wasn't in the game, there wasn't even a sunken sub or one off in the distance. The one they showed in the trailer said USS Dallas on it. And WHAT THE HELL was it with the one minute load times?! Holy mother. If you got killed, you let it run, went to the bathroom, checked email, lost interest. It sucked.

Definitely not worth $60. I traded in a bunch of old games I bought at a local gamer shop and ended up getting it for $10, and they'll give me $30 for trade in on it so I can't complain, but if I would have paid the full $60 for it I would have been pissed.

It seemed like the game was rushed out, sound familiar? ;) When you finish it, it unlocks extra's. One of them is a development timeline. They started work on this in 1996! 15 years in the works, and this is what they put out and charge $60 for it? That ain't right. They also show some trailers for older versions of this game that they were going to release but never did. The graphics on some of those looked better than what this release.

I did enjoy it, but it sure wasn't even close to DN3D and not worth $60. It would have been a good rental but not one I'll keep. :( I gotta get it back to Best Buy while they're still giving $30 for it.
