I was warming up and practicing scales tonight when I hit upon this totally new mode. It's called Meow Mix-olydian! :P

Well, I have had the cat run across the keyboard a few times but I never thought about using one as an e-bow.

Better be careful, it could sound purrfect, but it might also be a bit scratchy!

lol... Cats are total attention whores. Anytime I had cats they would always be jumping in my lap rubbing up against the guitar while I practiced making it impossible to play. Put the guitar down to give the cat some attention and they walk away.

I had one when I was 18 who used to hit the strings w/ his paws. This little lady there actually tried w/ her teeth.

She has her schedule. Usually around 10:45 she starts seeking my attention by doing all sorts of crazy things and usually end up jumping in my lap. Which is ok, because I'm usually pretty much done working at that time and just practicing scales and stuff.

    Absolutely.
The only problem is meal time. Our two older cats are both on a special diet, one for kidney problems and the other for diabetes - and the kidney treatment has to be mixed into wet food. Now just getting those two to eat their meal wasn't easy. Just turn your back and they've switched place and are eating each other's food.

We also try to avoid feeding them dry food, so that they are hungry for the wet food when we serve it - better for their health as old cats and allows me to mix in the medication.

But our youngster obviously adds new levels of excitement to the meal time fun. Not only does she try to eat their food, but she has an intolerance to wet food - a few bites and she pukes almost instantly. So we have to feed her dry food, which I can't just leave there because the two older cats will eat that and not get their medication and proper diet but I also can't leave the wet food out because she will eat that and puke.

I tried feeding them in different rooms, closing the door, but daddy's girl won't eat if she isn't w/ the others.

They drive me insane but, man, I LOVE them! :)

Mealtime around your house seems a little complicated Rain lol. You  have a good handle on it though, and I'm sure those cats are better for it.

Oh yeah... I seem to remember you posting about rescuing a kitty. Cute little dude. I really want to get a cat again but I'm not sure it would be wise between my poverty and gimpiness. Also wouldn't want it potentially wrecking my gear but that's usually easy enough to train out of them.
