Ive gotta share this!

 
 If you live any where near Philadelphia and if they aren't sold out, The Philly pops is playing at the Kimmel until the 22nd. This is Peter Neros last season with the pops. 
 
  If you go you will be treated to a 300 member singing group including the Philadelphia boys choir ,the Philly pops choir and the local Episcopal (think soul) choir ...all singing together and seated  about 50 ft. above the stage in a circle. (Those young boys sound like angels when they are 9).A full orchestra of well trained musicians AND a full pipe organ.
 
The Kimmel is designed for great acoustics IOW if you want a Christmas concert it doesn't get any better than this. I am usually more into rock concerts, my wifes idea but I'm glad I went.
 
 We just went there this past weekend. Some of the other highlights were eating at a few nice places. Devon seafood is great and reasonably priced! We went to the 1514 Bar and grill. The food was excellent there. There was a little incident there where a guy collapsed and they thought he was dead though. They got him out to the ambulance and I think he made it...hope so.
 
 After the show we ended up wandering around for dinner and wound up at a Brazilian steak house. I didn't think to ask the price. I knew when I seen the guy in the pin stripped suit  whose wife looked like she had 50,000 dollars of plastic surgery or when the waiter  offered to take my coat and seat me it might be expensive. I should have taken notice of the Porsches and such.We were looking for a burger and ended up spending 165.00 for dinner...yeah I know, I should have asked how much first. I tried to eat my moneys worth.I don't think I did. Maybe for a special birthday or an anniversary but.....oh well we live and we learn. Funny thing is we went to a Brazilian steak house in Nazereth PA. once and it was much less expensive there.
 
 It was still a fun memorable time.
