I've started wondering...

when they turn out the lights will they lock up the place first?
If they don't and I post will it glow-in-the-dark?
Maybe it's happened before and somebody knows.
I hope if it has happened before that Cake makes it
not only glow-in-the-dark but 3D too. Nice to have
some creative tools to work with........should I laugh?

I don't want to worry you Michael, but the doors were locked years ago, and if you pull back the blinds, you'll see bricks...

LOL, no worries James- I like bricks. Same bricks but
they do move around strangely enough.

When will Rmix become 24/96 capable?

That's what I want to know.

Can it be accessed via "Tools" in SONAR? That would be so cool to have that level of integration.

    I want me some...

    Before the lights go out.

    Perspective can be...
like I think basketball needs to have teams of height ranges
and the goal should be set in relation of. I imagine there are some
    very good short players.

How I've been seeing this place is warped much more than that
so most things are left unsaid much like Rmix being able to exclude
parts one doesn't care to hear. Spacey R-mixed. :)

Wookiee when I retire the sun will be my only clock and meals won't be labeled.

Mike I don't see why it would or need to be. It's a very cool tool for learning but
if it has a use in recording I don't know what for...I mean what would one do?-
remove stuff from anothers recording and use their parts?...seems very wrong to me.

I am thinking I will buy a copy to attempt to remove things like coughs or random noises... the type of stuff that works better with a hand edit than a automated or procedural approach like FFT noise, click or pop filtering.

I would prefer that I could work on "native files" such as 24/44, 24/48, or even 32/96 and not have to down convert to 16/44 to use Rmix, especially when it uses a 64bit engine... it seems like a time waster... so I look forward to some improvement.

    all the best,
    mike

I thought my perception of the forum being
slow with many members MIA was pretty clear. I guess not.

I also said that my explanations of why it is could be as
far off base as changing the playing rules of basketball.

I can't explain why others post what they do- in this thread
or any other for that matter.

Hope this clears up my part. Wasn't trying to confuse anybody...just happens.

I just added random thoughts because of a loosely based "word association".

I thought Michael had said, a few weeks ago, that he likes his copy of Rmix and that post inspired me to think about it further... to the point where I decided I will buy a copy.

    all the best!!!

That's correct Mike. I did post that I liked it and exactly what I liked
based on a very short first time use.

I think it is a fantastic program for the beginning guitarist...from a guitarist
    point of view.

I can only imagine having such a tool at my disposal when I was starting out.
All the hours of wearing out tapes and LP's trying to learn when this tool will
"put it in your face" and at a speed that suits...un-friggin' real.

    Recording use? Can't see it.

Loose word association is definately a trait of spacey...and after all these years
I'm certain that many know that all to well.

Loose or not...the lights are still on :)

That and how slow things are...what is weird to me- something I'd Rmixed from saying but will..
It's not only here. And attitudes seem very different- and not only here.
There seems to be a LOT of unhappy people ready to jump.
I can only guess at reasons but I don't think I'm imagining " a change in the weather".
Almost like folks are tired of the same 'ol **** and ready for a change....not saying I know anything...just how it seems to me.

It's not just here.  Some of the other forums I drop in on are simply dead right now.  Maybe the Mayan's are right?

Everything goes in waves.  Disco once attracted millions of people to go out and make complete fools of themselves in ridiculously tight clothing, then it died out.  I remember mammoth nightclubs back in the 80's that are now just memories.  Then people started posting on billboards, which changed to forums, which is now changing to something else (hopefully actual human contact again?).

    Who knows.

I have reasons to think they are not choosing contact Craigb. I think introversion is high and getting higher.

I can list many reasons/opinions why I think that people are moving "inward" but do the
reasons even matter? I'd have to know for a fact that it was true first and not just my opinions of why. I think it is introversion and my reasoning is sound and time will tell.

Who knows? you ask.  Well we sure know that it's changed here and still.
I know it's changed from the sharing of pertinent information by some very knowledgable
musicians, engineers, producers, etc., to.....what it is and it's surely not as it was.

I can say that changes for me have happened pretty darn fast. The speed and interest
I had for writing and recording with computers peaked in '07.
I know what the reasons are for my changing interests but for others....who knows?
