They put all the stuff I really want to see on after my bedtime. I guess most NBC and MSNBC viewers don't work and can stay up late. I wanted to see the gymnastics, they were recorded and played last night.. I would have recorded them again to watch today but at some point.. who cares. I want to see live events. I tried the Comcast live feed and it is more advertisements than action. I should have learned hacking...

There was an article somewhere that absolutely trashed the opening of the Olympics being shown on "prime time" instead of live in most of America! ... the reasoning? ... prime time is premium money for networks and they can charge more. The bad part? ... some businesses are too stupid to tell these tv stations to get ________________!!!

The major issue with American TV is that it believes that the world centers about America only and that the rest of the world is wrong! There are no soccer games at midnight, you crazy fart! There is no gymnastics (not those anyway!) at 2AM!

I guess that Americans are so stuck on "prime time inanity and control" that they do not know that there is a world out there and that there are time zones that cover the whole world, a grand total of 24 hours!

Now you know ... why I don't have a TV.  Because internally I live in a different "time" and "place" ... and that tv has a nasty habit of telling me I'm wrong!

But it tells you that in a few years no one is going to pay a cable network the kind of money they are right now when they can make twice the money by streaming this directly to your house and have everyone pay "admission" to the thing! The hard part? Getting Americans to wake up at a weird hour ... and not watch American Idol instead! ... now that ... will be an interesting day!
 
World Cup same issue, btw ... but other countries in the world don't have an issue with it!

Thanks Paulo. I will take a look at that. I took a quick look at the schedule and didn't see the synchronized swimming duets, I think they start tomorrow unless NBC has recorded them from a week ago or something... which would not surprise me. I also had it on MSNBC watching today and all of a sudden Rachael Maddow was on. I had to clean the screen and use eye drops... ugh.
