That looks like a killer deal! I'm contemplated replacing my KRK Rokit 5's and was sort of set on gettine either the Yamaha H7 and a sub, or the H8 monitors, and I hear both are great, although a bit more $$$ than the JBL's. Wonder though, if this deal is too good to pass up...anyone have a good comparison of these vs. Yamaha? I have  2 Yamaha PA speakers that I absolutely love, BTW, and they come highly recommended by people whose opinion I respect. But still, I like JBL stuff and I've heard nothing but good things about these.

I have a pair of JBLs.  when I was out shopping for a pair of monitors, I had the chance to stop by a Guitar Center.
I went in their sound room and the associate there was gracious enough to give me a test run of the JBLs, H6 & 8's, the KRKs and a few others thrown in.  I had my back to all of the monitors while he played a couple of different types of music (everything from Jazz to Hip Hop, Acoustic to Chill, you name it).  We were in there for a while.
Cool thing was that they all sounded pretty good (not the same, but good).  As I've had a pair of NS10Ms and a previous pair of JBLs, I thought the exercise would be easy.  It wasn't.  Needless to say, song after song I kept coming back to the JBLs.  Now, I use them for practically everything.  They are a great workhorse type of monitor.
Just my $0.02

+1
I went from Yamaha NS-10's (originals) to Mackies (until one of them took a dump on me), so I started to just replace the one blown Mackie, but end up shopping around and comparing to the JBL 305's. After a few weeks of researching ,specs , reviews, comparisons etc., ended up snagging the JBL 305's, and was instantly convinced that my monitor journey was worth the destination at that point of arriving at the JBL 305's...I wondered why I had never looked in the direction of the JBL's sooner (but everything in it's own appointed time).
I liked them so much that when a sale popped up about a year ago (Larry posted the alert of course) that was to good to pass up on the JBL 308's, I jumped on it. Believe it or not, I still haven't unpacked the 308's from the box, they are sitting in the box brand new (I did take one out to gaze at it and packed it right back up). To be honest I'm still enjoying my 305's, but will eventually set up the 308's along side them.
Moral of the story: JBL's for me all day everyday!!!

Appreciate the feedback, just not sure...it's not something I have to do now, but for a good deal I would jump. Wish I had a guitar center nearby (I do not) because I'd love to do a blind test, too. Well, good news is there is probably no bad choice here. I will be upgrading mostly because my new studio, when finished will be far larger (14X24 feet total) than my current setup (11.5X11.5) or my old set up (about 11X 15). New digs will mean larger monitors and maybe a sub, too.

I've been using a pair of M-Audio DSM2's for a few years now. When I saw this deal, I couldn't pass it up. Fedex is delivering them today. Can't  wait!
