JBridger bridging ALL my VSTS grrr
I know this belongs in software but I hope more people who might use Jbridge would see it here and offer a solution. OK SPLAT , a liquid mix 32 . Successfully got it installed and jbridged ONLY the lm dlls. NOW just about EVERY VST under properties shows load using jbridge wrapper checked.. Also I receive errors about cannot save wrapped versions of plugs I am running in a project. I only created one folder to house the wrapped dlls, but jbridge is glomming itself on to every vst. the only thing I can do is delete jbridge and it clears up the wholesale wrapping , but the wrapped 32 bit Liquid Mix vsts go bye bye also.

Do you know what jbridge is and does? do you know what a dll or vst is ? If you don't have a solution to offer then can your humour.

I do, indeed. I apologize for the snarkiness. Maybe someone else understands what you're asking better than I do.

That's very strange. I have Splat and liquid mix 32 using JBridge. I've never had it put a wrapper on all my VSTs before, only the ones I've chosen. What version are you using? I think I'm using JBridge 1.5.

same as you have, weird thing. Also the gui is blank when I call up the vst, cant even see the jbridge dialog box that usually is in the lower lh corner, I know there is a gui checkbox in the dialog, but cant see it.

GIM Productions Hi check my thread,i'm working on SPlat with Liquid mix on W7 64 bit. Good luck http://forum.cakewalk.com...aspx?m=2347848&p=1
followed every step to the letter, the Dword, the legacy driver under disable driver sign, etc finally got it loaded and installed. the GUI issue is one thing, I can still see the plug in on the hardware itself and control it from the same, but the issue is jbridger assigning itself to just about every VST, even though I only assigned one separate folder to the wrapped dlls,.There was a post about plug in manager properties to affect folders, but in that dialog, the select jbridge button is selected BUT grayed out...

ok try to delete all jbridge dlls without delete liquidmix.64 and put them on your desktop. you must be sure that liquidmix 32 bit dlls are in the separate sonar 32 bit vst folder. Run Sonar and add the vst 64 bridged folder directory with only liquidmix.64 in vst preferences. Run jbridge and scan only the liquid mix 32 vst folder. Select the previous empty vst bridged folder for the new liquidmix.64 In Sonar plugs manager scan the vst and flags the open with jbridge on liquidmix.64 If works flag only run in existing auxhost in liquidmix plugin prop. let me know good luck

Well thats another thing, the ONLY dlls with the jbridged 64 extension are the two liquid mix ones, NO other vst is getting tagged, yet, the error pops up every time I open an existing project about cannot save the for example Kontakt 64 instance

Just install jBridge, no wrapping necessary with Sonar because support for jBridge is built-in. To have jBridge wrap a specific vst or vsti click on the plugin's properties and select jBridge.

the only problem I have is you have to scan the vst dll first, and the scan freezes on those two dlls since they are 32 bit, and the dlls don't get picked up.

Would there be any advantage in creating subfolders in your VST path? One for 64 bit plugins and one for 32 bit plugins. You may be able to point to stuff more easily. You could also move the VST DLL's where there are dupe versions into another folder that does not get scanned. Another thing to do is check for dupe file paths.

Don't know what you mean by this, jBridge has to scan the dll's first? Follow the directions specifically for Sonar, it's easier than you think.. (don't run the jBridger tool)

There is an update on the jbridge site to 1.73 although I'm not sure what's meant by a 'demo' version but am guessing it's a beta. Have you tried contacting João? He's always been really helpful and quick to respond. Steve

No No I didnt say Jbridge had to scan the vsts first, its the Sonar plug in manager that has to scan first to recognize the vst. When plug in manager scans and finds the ORIGINAL dlls it freezes and crashes, this is before any wrapping or running jbridger. So it won't populate my list of available vsts because it crashes on the scan, I am running win 10 64 bit, if i was running 32 bit anything else the original 32 bit LM dlls would scan sucessfully and register, I know because I ran LM before, even with win 7 64 bit.

Put the dlls that you want jBridge to wrap into a folder that Sonar doesn't scan if they always cause Sonar to hang. You can also select that plugin in the plugin manager and tell it to use jBridge for which ever plugins you want OR you can do as in step one and then use the jBridger tool to wrap just the dlls in that folder putting the newly created dlls into yet another folder. Allow that last folder to be scanned by Sonar. The jBridge documentation is pretty good. Also download the latest available version. You download the demo and if you have a licence you'll get emailed the right file.

OK so I read i DON'T have to wrap the liquid Mix DLLs, just the fact that I have Jbridger installed is good enough, and the dialog box for each vst allows me to check "use jbridge". Then I read, yes wrap the DLLs , put them in separate folder, and all is good. TO Recap MY situation. 1 IF I install LM 3.0 and the install program places the factory DLLS, LM Mono and LM Stereo in either the default location or one I choose, the plug in does not show up in the list of VST effects. IF I try to scan that folder , the scan freezes and I have to kill it. Bottom line the unaltered vst is NOT there in my list. 2 IF I do wrap the two dlls and only those two, and do not choose any other folders, and place them in a separate folder and remove the original dlls then the scan picks them up and places them in my list, HOWEVER, now almost all of my exisitng dlls have use jbridge checked in their properties. Existing projects throw up warning dialog about cannot save the wrapped version of that vst, they still load ok.I do not want to go through 300 some dlls to uncheck that property. 3 I have tried a reset and rescan after step two, but the jbridge still shows up checked, the only way to stop the behavour is to delete the jbridge folder. Liquid Mix is nice but not really worth all this trouble I have visited the jbridge website looking for assistance and dont see anything close to my issue
