Jesses Q. Screed...collab with my teacher...Sir Robage
been ill latelyI’m feeling a little better today. This is a collab with my first teacher, Robage. It is his song. He wrote it. He played the acoustic guitars, and sang the vocals. He gave me permission to quirk it up. I added a new drum track, the backing vocals, piz strings, strings, tweaked the bass, and added a little acoustic lick at the end. He even let me mix it, not my best effort, but I gotta express. I like this song by Robage, he deservers all the credit. Robage, I love you man, let’s collab again. Jesse Q. I like this kind of stuff. The combo of the strings and acoustic guitar give it a little bit of a Beatles flavor.

That's a nice song. I like the strings you added, really quite moving, and they came in just at the right point. Mix is pretty good, perhaps the vocal could come up a little a have a little more ambience.

I really like this song and was performed well to set the mood.......very nicely done. The mix is good as well......the strings do bring out the mood really well, but possibly dropping it a few dB's would enhance the overall ambiance. Once it's polished, you should send it to a radio station......very catchy and well done guys!!

Yes nice job! Like Rick says, "a Beatles flavor," which is always great. I'll even say, "White Album-ish!"

You guys are too nice. I can't take any credit for the song itself, or the vocal, or the acoustic guitar bed, that is Sir Robage. Only the strings and drums, and mix, and what not. I will Sir Robage know that he has written a great song.. I am pleased that the mix is generally well received. I try to collab with him more, but he is busy teaching. The comments are appreciated. Thank you, and bless you. Jesse Q. Screed

Who is this Sir Robage you speak of ? a little history for the clueless ..me Anyway the tune itself is nice , it sounds like a real tune I would hear on the radio ... Yes places in the song remind me of the Beatles ...Yeah if I sang I would be doing more stuff like this .. I got to tell you man ..the ending leaves a lot to be desired ...it falls apart ....weakest part of the whole song . fix it Good song . It's a very nice sounding recording Kenny

Hey Kenny, Excellent use of emoticons. Glad you kind of liked it. Not sure when the ending will get fixed, collaborations over the internet, by nature, are difficult. I can't tell you a lot about Sir Robage, except that he lived at the dog with me. It was an amazing place and I don't think you would understand. Why don't you sing? Jesse Q. Screed

Musically, I love this tune. Very nice work. The mix seems congested in the low mids. Open up the space for everything and this will be even better! Well done!!!

Yeah, sounds pretty good here - I do like the parts you've added, they give it an entirely different flavor than a typical acoustic guitar + vocal song. Oh, and I liked the guitar lines you added towards the end. You may just want to drop the bass track's volume at the very end before it does that little "blrp" thing.
