Jethro Tull (reimagined) featuring Jamesg1213, SteveStrummerUK & Daryl1968
One of my all time favorite JT songs We Used To Know I want to thank James, Straummy and Daryl for their invaluable contributions to this little ditty as well as humoring me along the way. Should we call ourselves Juan Ahmerikun and Three Englishmen? Credits: Guitars - SteveStrummerUK, Jamesg1213, Bapu Organ & Backing Vox - Daryl1968 Bass, Drums, Organ, Horns & Vox - Bapu Honourable Mentions: Middle solo - Jamesg1213 Outtro Solo - Jamesg1213 & SteveStrummerUK

As a huge Tull fan I have to "Stand Up" and admit I'd never considered this old blues-waltz song in a reggae style. You guys did nicely with it though. :) And you gave me a reason to listen to the original recording too. ;) Gotta love Tull.

Hi, The best part was that James did not play any of the notes. He just imagined them. That's what took so long (or so he says). Good times :-)

Walt, I generally don't go in for a trad arrangement of cover songs (unless they have Weird Al type lyric). I like to find an alternative way of doing the song (and it makes for less critical comparison on the vocals ). Now, if I am covering a song for My Lovely Lady, she prefers a trad arrangement. I no longer make music to get the chicks and I've got the keeper now.

So I can hum! <Pause to download and listen to the 24bit wave version playing back through Soundforge 9 with span 2.2 in Plugin chain> Definitely sounds much bettera and the playing is all excellent. However, here at The 4077, the bass appears to roll off from about 100Hz and there still seems to be little body to the kick which is normally in that 60 to 80Hz band. Again this could just be the furry ear filters.
