Jinga's Xmas UAD bucket...care to share?

Like almost everyone else in the bad (formerly good...soon to be maybe good again, although Maurice don't think so, apparently) ol USofA it appears our dear, demented ol pal Jinga, is out there on the breadline with a tightened belt and a hopeful spirit. But (and as PeeWee Herman puts it, "that's a really big but") he's never known the pleasure...nay, the abject joy, of pulling up and instantiating, say, an LA2A or a Neve 1073 or...keep a stiff upper lip now...a Fairchild 670 on any of his piddly little vanity tracks to make them sound almost quasi-professional or somethin. But don't cry for Jinga brothers and sistern. We can help. If only thirty of us are willin to (for whatever insane reason) put up no more than ten American semolians for him apiece, he can know the joy of ownin and usin them damn UAD plugs on his magnum opuses. $300 American dollars. For which he will recieve: an UAD1 Flexi Pak. $650 (perhaps even $700) in vouchers for new plugs. The 7 "mix essentials" which aren't nothin to sneeze at. And the UAD1 card it's ownself. All for $300 American geetus. Which he don't have. Apparently. But through our beneficance....could. I'm in fer a sawbuck. Howse about you?

I'm asking the US gov to "bail me out" with a UAD-1.

    So far no luck.

priorities .. priorities .. priorities .. if he's so skint.. well $300 is better spent elsewhere rather than on a rather expensive UAD set of plugs...UAD card is a LUXURY.. not a necessary (e.g. food)

    Hi yorolpal-

I'm in, assuming this is genuine.

Is Jinga in any kind of trouble? Happy to contribute, if so. He's made me smile and even laugh out loud a few times, and that's worth something, no doubt.

If he's in any kind of trouble I'm happy to help. Is this via PayPal, or what?

If you're kidding, ok, but why?

    Thanks-

    -Susan

Woah, I'm hoping I wasn't misunderstood in the other post or that ourolpal has good intentions (I'm sure of that part) in a joking way, but I'm fine, folks. Yes, I was saying in the other thread, basically, that since there is no demo, I can't afford to just buy it and hope they're as great as everybody says. I am not rich, but nor am I poor. I appreciate the gesture, myolpal, but remember, everyone is affected by the current economic climate, not just me. I'm doing fine, just don't have tons of DI to throw around right now. I promise, after the holidays, when I have some extra money again, I will look very hard at some new toys (including the UAD stuff). But for now, spend your money (even if its extra) on your own friends and families, they deserve it, and, if its not extra, then make sure you take care of yourselves first.

    Graciously grateful,

AAAhhhh isn't it nice to see some Christmas spirit on the forum

Its a bit like "Its a Wonderful Life"

Jinga would have to James stewart
YorolPal would have to be The guardian Angel
Susan would have to be Jinga's long suffering wife

Thats probably all the characters I know(any suggestions???)

On a serious note though! - I have been having a few problems with my car recently
The garage say its going to cost a bundle to put right

Yorolpal + susan can I put you down for a grand each!! paypal will be fine

    Jinga,

Take the deal from Scott. I got my UAD-2 from him. Thats a great deal for the UAD-1 Flexi. You can't go wrong. Until Dec 31st you get $650 in plugins plus card for $275. If you hate it I am confident you will get at least $300 for the card plus plugins(yes, UA lets you transfer them to other users as a package) on ebay.

    Best,

That is a steal of a deal! I am actually quite surprised that any of these Flexi Paks are still available to buy. I know UA is no longer making the Flexi Paks, so once they are out of stock that will be it.

rumour has it flexis are out of stock at most placesand not available till the 23rd, so dear Jinga if you so decide to accept Scotts offer , do so posthaste... because although the vouchers don't expire and Ua audio will honor crossgrades/upgrades if you send proof of purchase before the 31st.., the 1/2 off sale will be over......
I would jump at Scotts offer if it was available , however I have no PCI slots available and you have to install the card to authorize it and receive the voucher, I think ??

OK I'll throw something into the bucket even though I have to lick the walls daily to supplement my dietary needs due to my abject poverty.
