Joe Meek Q-One?

Does anyone have any experience with Joe Meek products?  I am interested in their Q-One Mic preamp.

I ended up not being satisfied for vocals on the lower priced units, but the ONEQ may be better.
The lower priced stuff isnt bad for bass.

I also used an avalon 737 sp, a DBX 376 and now I have a presonus eureka.

The eureka is my favoriote so far. I love the sound, very smooth, and I like how the compressor works ont he way in on the eureka as well.

    Asus P8Z77-V LE PLUS Motherboard
    i7 3770k CPU
    32 gigs RAM
    Presonus AudioBox iTwo
Windows 10 64 bit, SONAR PLATINUM 64 bit
Lots of plugins and softsynths and one shot samples, loops
    Gauge ECM-87, MCA SP-1, Alesis AM51
    Presonus Eureka
    Mackie HR824's and matching subwoofer

Lance , do have any input on the Meek EQ's?

I've been looking for something along the 4 band Parametric lines....as a step up from my ART TUBE EQ.

Mainly for tracking direct amp modelers and bass.

    Thanks.

I used to have the VC3 and VC6. The VC6 I really liked and wish I still had. Haven't tried the newer stuff.

    Thanks Guys,

I think I will research this a bit more and if I decide to purchase, I'll give you my findings.

    Best Wishes,

I had the Q1, i didnt care for it. Vocals were a little lost in the mix, and had a strange distortion i didnt care for. Now im no pro, could of been user error, but im doing well now. you may enjoy it, i may have had a bad unit...but i owned it and didnt like it.

    Gigabyte GA-EP35-SL3
    Core 2 duo E8500
    4 GIGS OF RAM
    Tascam FW-1884

    Roland XP-60

And they said i couldnt do it...
