Joemeek Twin Q

I've got an offer on one of these units at about half street price.  What sounds interesting is that it has SPDIF output which will inteface nicely with the extra SPDIF input on my soundcard and it will be a different type of sound and pre amp to go along with the pres on my Soundcraft M12 mixer.  Both will be a "Brit" flavor so to speak, but the Joemeek will be a little more colored I would expect.

Talk me out of it if I'm about to step in something I shouldn't.

    Dave,
    You gotta do it!
With the Meequalizer and those beauty VU's! No Brainer!
I was looking at the UA 4-710d, do it "need" it, nope.
    Do I "WANT" it...
Now I want the meequalizer too!

I was running out of time so I had to pull the trigger on the TwinQ.  I'll be seeing this thing sometime next week, I'd imagine.

Maybe not something something you brag about owning over at GearSlutz, but I was in a local commercial studio recently and the engineer chose to use the TwinQ (old British produced model) for all the band's vocals and bass even though there were several quite slutty pieces in the racks! Worked great!

One Q owner here. There isnt a lot of love for the new Meek Stuff over at GS as Sven mentions, seems the Chinese made model isnt boutique enough for the Slutzers .. The optical compressor operates a bit different than most, search the web for the suggested settings.AFA the pre-amp, the Iron setting imparts a nice flavor ..

GearSlutz - isn't that where the people who invented music hang out?
