John Lydon 'knew' about Jimmy Savile in 1978...
He does sound like a bit of an uppity kid for the most part talking about who he'd like to kill, but what he says at around 52s is rather telling:
- Interviewer: "So how are you going to go about this massacre?"
- Lydon: "I don't know. I just want to make a film of it.... on film. I'd like to kill Jimmy Savile, I think he's a hypocrite. I bet he's into all kinds of seediness.... that we all know about, but are not allowed to talk about. I know some rumours....(laughs)" //////// ....."I'll bet none of this is allowed out."
It beggars the question that if someone like Johnny 'knew' about Savile's poorly kept repugnant secrets, then surely the people who employed him at the BBC must have 'known' too. Even if it was just rumours, there must have been enough of them flying around to have at least investigated the scum.
Or as seems more and more likely, they knew all about him, and were protecting him for some unfathomable reason.
