John Pearse Guitar Strings

I've always used Elixir Nanoweb coated strings on my Taylor but a mate recommended these and I have to say I am very, very impressed. I doubt they'll last as well as coated strings and they're a little squeakier (when new anyway) but I love the tone (mellow and rich) and the guitar feels more playable than it did before.

Now I notice that JPS do a set of folk strings that are wound on a nylon core but with a ball end to fit steel strung acoustics. Sounds as though they might just offer exactly that hybrid sound I've been searching for, so that's going to be my next set. Anyone got experience of the folk strings - good and bad - would welcome any views?
