There's some very nice playing in there, especially if it was improvised! As a personal preference the tone was a bit harsh for the tune, but it suited the legato moments.

I think the sliding around was just buying yourself a little time to think here and there, I do that myself

    Corrected the title, thanks.

I didn't even bother to mic up an amp and just used an old V-amp2. Yeah, I'm with you; the tone could be a lot better. I'm back to mic'ing amps now. I've got a little Super Champ XD for recording and practice and a Laney VC30 for live use. Either would have sound considerably better than this V-amp2.

If you were unhappy with the guitar after four minutes into the song, why didn't you just fade it out there? It was great up until then. And honestly, I thought it sounded fine all the way through. It just sounded a little dissonant between 4:00 and 4:15 or so. I thought the solo with the octave divider was epic! That wasn't an actual orchestra at the end, was it? Did you just dub in some footage of one? The repeating climbing chords were very cool I thought, like something Led Zep might have done. I would buy this if it were for sale. Honestly.
