Journey To Heaven (For Jimmy Gentry)

I wrote this tune about three years ago when my aunt passed on. I just now added some more violins and remixed it, making it special for Jimmy. You'll notice it slowing down a couple of times. I couldn't help it....I was overwhelmed with emotion while recording this and it kind of screwed up my timing.

Very touching Scotty. Excellent playing as always. You have such a wonderfully musical style of expression. Jimmy really would have loved it, I'm sure, in ways that only he would have been able to describe.

    Hi, Scotty,

This is an absolutely beautiful tribute, and I'm sure that Jimmy is smiling down on you whenever this song is played.

You always have an uncanny ability to directly express so much emotion through your amazing playing.  It's truly a blessing, my friend.

    Wonderful work!

Very pretty melody!  I didn't notice the slowing, but then I too am slowing so maybe it kept me in sync.

Beautiful... full of feeling and no holes in the mix. I like it a LOT, it made me smile and isn't that what music should do? It would fit in any movie set in 19th century America... my favorite time and place... just fine work!
