July 4th Sale

I was pretty excited to see a sale, thought I could finally snap up the CA-2A but sadly it's not part of it. Still some good stuff on there.

I've been waiting for a good deal on the CA-2A as well.

Waves have their CLA-2A on sale + a $50 bonus discount so it can picked it up for $19 for maybe another 9-10 hours. It is such a good deal that I bought it.

    i7 2600k, 1 x Nvidia 970 + 1 x 560ti, 16GB RAM, 5TB of Spinning Thingys, Focusrite Liquid Sapphire 56 + lots and lots of cables. Sooo many cables.. I think they are breeding.

Waves and UAD constantly discount their products.
Simply put, the MSRP does not reflect the "real" value.
Cakewalk doesn't "have" to discount the CA2A.

I popped for the Gibson Bass collection.
Showed right up in the CCC.
    Thanks Cake!

I don't understand what this means. Can you clarify? Esp. the '"have" to' part.

But oh crap, $15 for that Waves plug? I would prefer the Cake version but that is a pretty good bargain right there.

    "Real Value"
Many business have a MSRP that is never actually charged.
Products are always "on sale". WHAT A DEAL WE HAVE FOR YOU!
Waves and UAD operate, in my opinion, this way all the time.
They constantly discount, only a fool pays the MSRP.
    Again, In My Opinion!
Cake does run lots of discounts, I just took advantage of the 50% off on the Gibson Bass.
    I "waited" on purpose.
Evidently they (Cake) sell enough of the CA2A that they don't feel the need (don't "have" to)
    to discount that particular plugin.
In my wife's business the MSRP is the price everyone pays; period!
The customer knows this, they don't "wait" for the deal; it doesn't happen.
Audio software, like autos and musical instruments, is one of those businesses where
no one ever (hardly ever) pays "retail".
Fab Filter is one of the few that rarely discounts, although I'm sure their "yearly" (that's right?)
is their big cash flow for the year.

    Make sense?
