Jumps to end of clip after punch in recording

Hi,

I seem to remember reading about this in an earlier version, but I can't find the thread.  After punching in, it jumps to the end of the clip.  This doesn't happen if I'm doing a manual punch in, just when I set the punch in option.

I'm using Sonar Platinum, latest update as of 5/28/17.  Thanks!

I would make sure you have the selection correct.
I cant say I have heard of this myself. But if manual PI works then my guess is a Selection issue (Where you are selecting.
I typically always click/hold and drag in the timeline (not on the clip itself) to make my selection for punches.
Then make sure record on that track is on.

Thanks for the response.  Yes, I have the selection correct, and I select from the timeline.  Plus, the record is on (or it wouldn't record!)  It's very odd.  I noticed that every once in a while it jumped to the beginning of the track, but most of the time it goes to the end.  I've tried looking in Preferences to see if there's an option I might have mistakenly checked, but I can't find it.  I know, for a fact, this wasn't happening before the latest update - and I'm not saying the update did it, or EVERYONE would be reporting it.  Just as point of reference, it started happening after that.
