Class, time for the monday morning quiz. Okay, so it's not morning; that's not important right now. What is Hoss's real first name?

We have a winner! And in record time, too. I'll have to make the questions harder. What is harder, lead or antimony? And how much water will fit in a 10-gallon hat? Which is heavier, a pound of feathers or Hoss Cartwright?

1) Antimony is about 3 on the Moh Hardness scale while Lead is approximately 1.5 2) Stetson describes the 10 gallon hat as capable of holding 3 quarts of liquid. 3) I ain't falling for no trick questions... Hoss hovered at approximately 300 lbs... that is 300x the weight of a pound of feathers. :-)

I tried to make it a trick question, researching the cost of feathers and the conversion rate of USD to GBP, but whether it should be white, gray, brown, white or black chicken feathers or ostrich feathers or peacaock feathers, and converting the price per ton in dollars to how much 1 GBP can buy... made my head hurt.

And in all the episodes of Bonanza, does anyone remember any of the Cartwrights building or repairing a wagon?

That's what Hop Sing was for. In another setting, he could have been Alfred, working in Stately Wayne Manor. Of course, he could have ended up as Alice at Mike and Carol Brady's house. All in all, he was probably happier working for the Cartwrights.
