Just Seen Expanded Today.
I went to the IMSTA at SAE institute today and seen a beta version of Sonar running expanded , Pretty cool I love the skins, The only thing i didn't see was ACT control icon in the expanded window, I was told the controls are Act controllable by the plugins them selfs. Im a little un clear on how it works with the assignability of the controls , but looks very promising..
Oh one Thing To the Cakewalk Reps ... Maybe it would be a good idea to invest in a time mist air freshener , or a couple of cans of deodorant for those smelly people who like to go out in public and have no common decency for others,, I would of loved to stay longer and listen to Jim , but dam some people smell.. and shouldn't go out in public...

Some people smell..??
OMG some people really do smell and ruin other peoples good times with there offensive odor.. And some people need to stop bathing them selfs in cologne too. I mean really why . Terrible Experience :( today Here's another thought a few Yankee Candle's .. Around the rooms... Black Cherry perhaps

I assume you mean the attending public had a personal freshness problem? Surely the Cakewalk reps there were as fresh and fragrant as a daisy.

I used to go to the computer parts shows back in the late 80's and 90's and I would wear my oldest clothes because I knew I would have to bury them the next day. Let's just say personal hygiene wasn't high on the list of things to do for many of the geeks and freaks that attended those shows.

I'm seriously wondering if for X2, x3 ect .....we 're only have maintenance release with few new features and no new plugins ....because now it seems that we have to pay them ....
I mean we always said that we prefered rock solid perf versus plugins in each updates , but the percussion strip and the vocal strip for exemple seems to be some that in X series would have never been free ....
So it will be cool to have a clear direction from the marketing team ...cause it also becoming kinda confusing (versions, add on , ect ...)
Hope cake is not becoming like others ...everything becoming optional and that" you want this , pay , you need that crucial feature , pay ...." type of bizness ....
Don't get me wrong i'm not saying that this is the case but , i'm just smelling some ..that me don't like ....hope i'm wrong ...
Students at the SAE were always pleased because i used to told them : get producer : cheap , everthing on , no option and no dongle ....

Seems to me X1 is trying to incorporate some of the features Studio One already has.
SoundCloud support.
Full browser drag and drop.
Maybe others, I haven't looked that closely.

we 're only have maintenance release with few new features and no new plugins I dunno.... I've read posts from many users asking for exactly that. But whether it's practical to include less new stuff over a longer period of time remains to be seen. I think this is new ground for CW...
