Just before a shark breaks the surface tension of the water

Came across this photo. It's beautiful and horrible at the same time.

Nothing bigger than a swimming pool. Ever.

It was on imgur. I check it out once or twice a day and occasionally you see some very cool stuff among all the dumb memes and cat pics.

Speaking of sharks, I was in Barnes and Nobel today and it's not often that I treat the place like a freaking library but I stood there for an hour absolutely engrossed in this absolutely stunning "behind the scenes" book about the movie Jaws:

I gather there's a documentary as well but I haven't seen it yet. But if it's half as good as this book I have to see it. The thing is absolutely huge and jam packed with old behind the scene photos and stills, as well as tons of fascinating comments and accounts of people involved in the movie, including many of the island residents who ended up getting roped into it either as actors or extras. I think Jaws was the first movie I got taken to see as a kid. I was three years old - God knows how a three year old got past the front door, it's hardly an appropriate movie for a toddler and it scared me half to death but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I think the shark from the real shark attack story that "Jaws" was based on was likely a bull shark but there could have been white sharks too, it was in 1916.
There have been bull sharks documented in the Mississippi river as far up as Illinois, so that means that they can be in any other rivers or lakes below Illinois, that are not blocked by a dam. You have to watch out for those "land sharks" too!
They are the worst of the lot but not as flashy as the other sharks.
