Just downloaded Sonar X2 producer Two quick questions

Hello

I just downloaded Sonar X2 Producer.

Just two quick questions.

I ran the set up and Sonar has successfully installed. I also installed Dimension Pro. I am not sure if I was meant to install that as a seperate application but as it had its own installer I thought I should.

Ok here are my quick questions.

1. My Laptop is Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit so when it asked me to install Sonar as a 32bit or 64bit application I installed it as a 64bit application. I presume I did the right thing there?

2. I am not sure what to do with the Zipped folders of Dimension Pro and Loopmaster folders. Do I unzip them outside where they have downloaded to on my Laptop which is in my case the downloads folder or they I unzip them inside a Sonar Project. I am worried that if I have unzip them outside I will have thousands of files in my Download folder.

Thanks Steve

    1.  You did good by installing Sonar 64-bit - it will allow you to use all your memory on your laptop.  Just make sure you have 64-bit drivers for any external devices you intend to hook up.

    2.  When you say "zipped folder(s) of Dimension Pro", are you talking about the Dimension Pro Expansion Pack?  If so, unzip it in your downloads folder, and then when you run it you have the option for where to install the content.  I believe the Loopmaster zip file is the same ... unzip it in the downloads folder and then tell it where you want it to install all the content (I put mine in the C:\Cakewalk Content" folder).

    Hope that helps/

    That helps a lot.

Yes I do mean the packs you mention.

Thanks a lot for your help with my questions.  Although I am generally good with computers I do have certain blind spots and 64bit versus 32bit is one such area.

The download has 13 files at least mine did! I was ok with most of them but the Zipped packs had me stumped.

    I appreciate your help.
