Just for the the sheer musicality of it...

I was looking up an ol' chum on You Tube and came across this gem, the backing band all hail from my neighbourhood so it made me extra proud unfortunately Kenny on piano here died a few years back.

This brought a wave of good vibes over me this morning so I had to share it.

More good vibe loveliness like this for a sunny spring morning would be cool.

    If i'm not mistaken Jonbouy, the bass player looks a lot like John Illsley from Dire Straits, am I correct?

    It certainly passes the "fine song" test - I'm playing it quite loud on a laptop in one of my downstairs rooms with the french windows open, my partner, the lovely Hazel has just walked to the threshold from the garden and asked who that was and if I had any of his music...she normally ducks for cover with some of my music choices. I think I will have to dig out my "Hard Station" album of Paul Brady's which I bought at least 25 years ago.

    Lovely stuff. Paul Brady has written some of the finest songs, covered by many, many top artists. Yep, that's Illsley on bass..I know the drummer too, but can't think of his name..?

    Here's a couple that always make me smile, two more Paul's with golden tonsils;

    Paul Carrack with Nick Lowe - Tempted

    Yes he currently tours with Steeleye Span he's one of those like Dave Mattacks it's easier to name who he hasn't played with...

    He plays a fair bit locally with Buick 6, who are always worth a watch, I remember playing a benefit for the lifeboat a few years back and he sat an watched me play an entire gig from backstage, boy did that keep me on my toes...

    I actually played out with Kenny a few times an incredible musician and really generous with it, a really sad loss when he went.
