This time I waited until 9/7 to order, and I received my email that my copy shipped on 9/21. I have no idea what order the ship these things in, but it doesn't seem like it's FIFO.

It would seem so, since my order went in the morning of 9/6, the confirmation e-mail came back 12:08 PM (EDT), and I'm still without a tracking number. (Must be a case of the watched pot refusing to boil.)

Anything can happen. I've gotten the E-mail while holding the package. I bet we'll see a bunch of folks getting it today.

Did a straight upgrade two weeks ago but no confirmation here either. For you long weekenders, FedEx delivers on Saturdays, UPS does not!

I understood it was first come first served on pre-orders for the update. Be interesting to know those who have had notification when their order was confirmed? My order was placed within one hour of the pre-orders for 6 being announced and confirmation from Cake was 9/6/2006 3:55:33 PM Really cannot see that updating since Noah floated the Ark has anything to do with it LOL Just jealous. I just got off the phone with Cakewalk. They said that there is a significant backlog and mine will PROBABLY ship next week sometime. AAARRRGGHH!!!

Alright I spoke too soon, I just received my confirmed email S6 arrives Monday at 3pm, I guess I'll call in to work tuesday to play with my new toy. haaaa
By the way I purchased the upgrade September 12th. fast turnaround

Well, I just received the shipping info. Mine is scheduled to arrive at 4:30 PM on Tuesday. It seems as if the "Orders shipped in the order they are received" is a pile of BS (Barbara Streisand).

OK, MAJOR PROBLEM!!!
I just got my email with the registration number and found out I'm registered for STUDIO not PRODUCER. I went to the online store and there isn't an option to upgrade from Sonar 5 Producer to version 6 producer, but there is a $179 upgrade from Sonar 6 Studio to version 6 Producer.
What gives? I ordered the upgrade to Sonar 6 producer but the online store recorded it as an upgrade from Power Studio 5 to Studio 6. I don't have a serial for Studio 5 - how did this happen?!?!?!
Am I burned for another $179 to get Producer?
