Just how much makeup are girls wearing these days?

When I was younger, I thought about getting older and I wondered if I'd find it painful to see beautiful young girls in their late teens/early 20's walking around and to know that I was too old for them. 
 
Now that I'm in my 40's, what a relief! I don't find young girls these days attractive at all. Inch thick Kardashian-style "contour" makeup which doesn't just accentuate or enhance, it paints an entirely new face on like a mask. I can't even tell them apart sometimes, the makeup makes them look so similar. Then you have the Sharpie pen eyebrows, fake lips, fake boobs, fake butts etc. And on top of that they're taking those ridiculous duck-face selfies which makes their mouth look like a cat's bung hole. 
 
What a time to be alive. And get off my lawn!

I feel they soon will be able to edit out the Y chromosome with crispr.  No more men!

A concealer, foundation, blush on, lip tint, and mascara complete my overall look. 

Indeed, the rest goes on my face.

I forgot to add, another pet peeve is the cheesy Instagram filters they use to take selfies. On top of the inch of makeup removing any natural texture from their faces, the photo filters add another layer of smoothing which by the end of it all leaves them looking like a waxworks dummy. 
 
The worst part of it all is that this makeup is covering up some truly beautiful faces. Take this for example: 
 

 
I know it's all supposed to be subjective, but I'd have trouble identifying with anyone who finds the "after" face more attractive, lol. 

At age 30, it was already hugely apparent to me which of my peers had spent their 20's smoking and drinking to excess. There was a difference of at least 10 years in the way they looked. At 44, that difference is even more pronounced with the people who continued the abuse. I have friends the same age you'd swear there was 15-20 years difference between. Facebook-reconnecting with old friends I haven't seen since school has been a bit of a shocker. Some of them I really have to squint at to see traces of the face I knew back then.

You guys must not be old enough to remember Tammy Faye Bakker. Boy, was she good for some laughs. Not as many as for her husband (good ol' Jim), but still plenty. One experience I'll never forget was, while gassing up my car one day, a guy walked out of the store wearing a t-shirt that was just a smear of colors. Made no sense. When he got closer, I could see the text "I just ran into Tammy Faye Bakker". LMAO
 

I have to say, when I first heard about guys getting calf implants, I couldn't stop laughing for weeks. 
 
I have an old friend who was always a bit of a rough around the edges crusty type. Piercings, dreads, that sort of thing. A year or so ago he announced that he had long identified as a woman and wanted to make the change. He's still into women, and indeed was married, but they split amicably because she couldn't handle him as a gal. Since then he's been dressing female and wearing makeup. And I have to say, his makeup skills outshine any Millennial girl's today. I've never been so impressed by the sheer artistry of a lipstick application - the guy is a total pro. And the rest of it is really subtle and enhancing. It also helps that he has one of those faces which could swing either way gender-wise. But damn, it comes to something when your trans friend is a better looking woman than most females-from-birth.

Some of us are old enough to remember, and have spent our years repressing that memory.  Thanks a lot...

For what it's worth (and it may not be much), I find both pictures attractive. Maybe it's the context? The "before" picture is a girl who would be at home doing normal day-to-day things like biking, going to the store (or maybe the beach), hanging out, etc. The "after" girl would be at home in a formal social setting, maybe attending a wedding or a orchestral concert.
 
Both pictures, I think, are very pretty, but I could see a difference in appropriate setting.

Me too, I think they both look great.  Maybe I'm just not that picky any more.  They actually look like they could be sisters.
