Just picked up IK Multimedia's Amplitube Fender
Audio Deluxe is offering the Amplitube Fender at a pretty good price, so I ordered it on Sunday and was able to download it this morning. After a few hours of trying it out, I am really pleased with the sounds for the various models. I've attached an mp3 of a short clip that demo's the following amps: https://www.dropbox.com/s/10t57w4285ir38l/Amplitude%20Test.mp3?dl=0 64 Vibroverb Custom 57 Deluxe Pro Junior 68 Deluxe Reverb Super-sonic Vibro-King 59 Bassman champion 600 Metalhead** - watch out - this one is much louder.....

Thanks lol, I love your little ditty, very infectious, still smiling :) I was thinking of grabbing the Amplitube All-In bundle when I get home from work today, it contains AT3, Fender, Slash, Hendrix, Orange and Ampeg, been umming and arring for a while now, tried out some stuff on my second PC, sounds ok. Like the sound of the fender stuff you demo'd, what guitar were you playing with if I may ask ? I have TH2 Full, S-Gear (Skuffham), Revalver 3, 3.5 and 4, Guitar Rig 3 and 5, and all the Studio Devil stuff, if you have any of these could you give me your opinion vs Amplitube ? TH2 is my go to, and I would put the stuff I have in the following order TH2 S-Gear (Amazing sound and feel, just not the bells and whistles of TH2, but it may slip into 1st) Studio Devil Revalver Guitar Rig (I would put Guitar Rig another 5 or 10 places down the list, but I don't have anything else to fill the spaces :) I try it every now and then, but just go back to the others, it really is awful IMO)

I bought Fender a while ago. It's worth adding the Princeton because it's a beautiful amp.

Thanks! It's a Fender MIM Telecaster. I'm just using the bridge pickup. Hey Sharke - thanks for the hint on the Princeton. I'm going to check it out. Wait - there are two different models ! Which one did you go for?

Agreed on all of the above. The Fender collection is excellent sounding, and the Princeton is a great add. Just as you start getting pleased with that, check out the Orange collection that has some superb tones. Example (not from IK) of someone using Amplitube Orange: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bg6SaKk0mms
Two internal 2TB SSDs laptop stuffed with Larry's deals and awesome tools. Studio One is the cat's meow as a DAW now that I've migrated off of Sonar. Using BandLab Cakewalk just to grab old files when migrating songs.

Fender package is the best out there of this type. Gives a good representation for those of us who can't afford a dozen amps.

Ha! That's the problem - there is always just one more cool thing that I didn't even know I had to have. The Orange collection sounds fantastic......thanks.... I guess.

I seldom hear of any guitar player who wasn't happy with Amplitube Fender. I have it and I don't think there is another emulation that comes as close as this one to these types of sounds. Don't get me wrong, Many others are similar and offer nice sounds...but those nice clean amp sounds played on a fender...tough to compare any other to IMO.

There are two Princetons? Are you sure one isn't the cab? I have the '65 Princeton, wasn't aware of another one.

I'd be interested to hear what other amps people have opted for in Amplitube. I also picked up the Dr. Z "Z Wreck" because it has a great modern sound, and the Orange AD 30 because, well my Tele sounds so freakin' sweet through it. Microphone-wise I'm very keen on the Bottle 563 for its bright, detailed sound.

The Engl, Soldano, Jet City, Carvin are very tasty, '57 Champ is not to bad, Fulltone sounds great with a OD/Dist pedal in front, I ended up with all the amps and cab's, well pretty much everything, only 10 stomps left I think.

The Soldano is one to get. There's the HiAmp and some of the a Orange stuff is good, like the Rockverb.
You can test drive them and there's one or two videos on most the add-ons.
I recommend the Wampler pedals. Smooth all the way from low to high on any of the knobs. Certainly, unusual on the Pinnacle that you can cover drive, overdrive, distortion to high gain with it all sounding 'natural'. Also it's the EVH sound in a pedal if that's your thing. Drink, drugs and fights with bandmates is not included.

I really like the Princeton. In the Fender pack my fav is the Pro Junior. It's the stuff. The rack units in Fender are the best in Amplitube IMHO. And love the Vibrotone. I feel like the Fender is a bit of a hidden gem. I thought "more Fender amps, yawn". But these are really good. How about a Quad Reverb or my fav, a Vibrolux Reverb. Come on IK, I'm begging you to take my money.

Their Olympics group buy from last year was awesome. The Fender pack is good, but I like the Princeton from the custom shop better than any of the amps from that package. I also really like the Orange AD-30, and the Silvertone that comes in the Hendrix pack. If you are looking for the 80s sounds the Slash amps are pretty good. I have demoed the Dr Z and ENGL amps and may get them. Less impressed with the Soldano/Jet City models than I thought I would be. As for effects, one of my favorite is the MXR chorus from the Slash pack. It's more airy than watery and adds a lovely shimmer. I am also curious about the Wampler stuff. There is a free Cranked AC Wampler plugin made by Le Pou that just rocks. It makes me want to check out the Wampler models in the AT custom shop.
