Just thought of a really cool editing feature.

I'm busy editing a huge project where 17 songs were recorded almost as improvisations, and now we are making sense out of it several months after the fact. There is lots of cutting and pasting going on of entire sections of songs.

The feature I'd LOVE to see is something like a "Paste Forward from Now/Paste Backward From Now" meaning if I know where I'd like the END of a section to land, Sonar should be able to drop the entire copied section from that point towards zero. I'd use drag, but that does not deal with the markers and automation too well.

Anyone else a) understand what the heck I just said, and b) like the idea? :O)

Isn't that what some folks refer to as "4-point cut/splice"?
Samplitude has that feature... I believe Vegas does too (someone correct me if I'm wrong).
