Just upgraded to Platinum and get a few midi problems

hi
I do not know whether sonar platinum needs tweaking.

I am playing a couple of vst synths and take Fm 8 for example.

I am playing along and sometimes a note will not sound when pressed and find this a little annoying.
I am not a computer buff, but i have sent for a new usb lead for my focusrite scarlet 6i6 ,because sometimes also i get stuck notes and try to find a panic button. I have  been told it could be a usb lead  scarlett 6i6  and then to computer. best to check that.
Is It something to do with buffers ???
I am running the 6i6 at 7ms and have an i7 computer 12 gig ram.

Does anyone know what I am experiencing and may help out here.

All the best
John

Have you tried increasing your midi playback buffers from 250 to 500 or higher?

I am playing along and sometimes a note will not sound when pressed and find this a little annoying.

Try to record MIDI track when your are playing (even better with the synth output as audio track throw patch point, to have precise material for analysis). And once the problem appear, find our either:
    a) the note is not recorded
    b) the note is recorded but there was no sound
    c) some other combination...

    Hi to all

Thanks for your suggestions I like Sonar as It does more things than other daws  like sys ex.

I do have Mixcraft and the missing note when playing a vst does not happen ,but i have a synth called UNIQUE a vowel synth and It does get stuck notes in both daws.
Firstly I may have a bad vst In Unique
My fm8 plays perfectly in Mixcraft but not Sonar Plat.
The buffers In Mixcraft are at 300.
I also tried the buffers In Sonar at 500 ,but the same happened ,a note does not sound periodically.
If you play a fast passage In sonar that is when a note goes missing.(Is there a bug in there ?)
This is not recording at moment ,only playng live on my Tyros keyboard at home.
I am just trying out Sonar Platinum to see if things are stable.
Had some more updates today and maybe there is something in there to prevent this.
Question-- Can you get a stuck note situation If you play a sound ,like a pad to fast or a sound with longer tails or press two keys or a chord on a mono synth by mistake????

    NEW-----

I had Sonar Professional and updated to Platinum.
I then used the command centre to load up .

Now I have sonar Pro and platinum show up--How do i uninstall pro??

I am having problems with missing notes in Platinum ,but when I switch to pro all Is ok.Have I got two programs mixed together somehow.
Has something got corrupted along the way and If so how do I do a clean install just for Platinum
Things play ok in Mixcraft as well which I was using way back.

    all the best
    John

    craCKED iT-&*%&*%^&$^^&%^%(*()*_)()(+

Suffering holy bat riddles!!!  "Wheres thaT FLAMING joker"!!!

I had pro and installed platinum and then two programs on one must have occured somehow through the  Cakewalk Centre.

I went through uninstalling the two programs and deleted the registry values as described in another cakewalk tutorial and reloaded.

All the rest of the Cakewalk material never got uninstalled, only the shell of the program.

Now all Is hunky dory!!!with missing notes.
Before I want to continue and make tracks ,I wanted to know that all ran perfectly without glitches.

I think that the Unique Synth by Sugarbytes is a buggy synth.
All the rest of my vst work 100% Abysynth,Fm8, Arturia etc

Well I hope when turning the computer on again nothing comes back to byte me!!!
