* KONTAKT WAVE EDITOR *
Is anyone here really familiar with Kontakt WAVE editor ? I am reading the manual, but I can't figure out how to make the BEAT machine and Time Machine to affect the Sample. I move the knobs and nothing happens. Is there some little thing that I am missing to enable this?

You need to change the source to either Beat Machine, Time Machine1, or Time Machine 2. If you look at the source it most likely says it's in DFD mode. Click the little drop down window and choose Beat Machine. Now you will see Kontakt automatically put in transients. Now you can move the knob to tweak the transients to your liking. If you want it to follow your sequencers host tempo, first loop the sample, then click in the speed box and choose a musical note.

I just got Kontakt 3 recently (upgrade) and am loving it. This info comes in handy. Thanks for sharing it Oaf.

I recommend reading Kontakt 2 Power. There is no Kontakt 3 Power, but most of what's in Kontakt 2 Power applies to the new version. Kontakt 3.5 (FREE upgrade) will be out soon, and it will be 64 bit, as well as a few new features, like midi learn for every parameter.

I figured out what the problem was. You have to trigger the sample from the keyboard to get the BEAT MACHINE/ Tone Machine to take effect. I was trying to play it by pressing play in the WAVE EDITOR.
