Without even clicking on the link or reading it, [which I refuse to do as well], that's just outright effing blasphemy - and so soon after David's death, no less. Reminds me of other such ridiculously catastrophic and completely idiotic comparison statements in the past like: mc hammer being equal to Michael Jackson; and the spice girls being as popular as the Beatles. [Note the lower case letters in each of the first names] Back to 'kanye least', [note the lower case again], this IDIOT, [Note the Upper Case there], said he is actually going to run for President of the US in 2020. God help us all - and I don't even live there! Is there no end to his ego? And to his consistently idiotic behaviour?

I'm surprised that they didn't mention Whitney Houston's gaff to a British Concert Crowd in 1988 when she said "I'm bigger than the Beatles!" There are very few, if any, other bands that I could go and listen to 100 of their songs and pretty much like every one. What the Beatles accomplished in such a relatively short time is amazing.

I tell people this every time they complain about him or some other celebrity that relies on attention whoring so much. I have never had a Kany fan send me a Kanye link ever. I have yet to see a strong Kanye supporter on this forum, yet stories about him pop up here. Ironic to say the least that unending source for keeping him in the news is his detractors.

Who the hell are Oasis? *Case in point.* And Coldplay? That shows just how askew kanye 'leasts' view points and opinions are. I guess it takes talent to recognize talent. Meanwhile, Coldplay are so severally over-rated but hugely successful mainly because of hype over substance, [which has run rampant these days], as well as sheer lack of similar based competition. The 'people' [lost, unknowledgable and uncaring sheep] always seem to need someone to love - [or eventually hate]. But the Beatles actually had talent - and lot's of it. And all 4 of them at that. Sadly, if they came along today, they would be largley rejected, to make and keep room for all the 'fu-k-tards' out there now. Sheesh - ok rant over: I'm fine now - [I think].

Agreed. He has sampled Tangerine Dream, Can and some other stuff, so he is, at least, aware of a lot of different music. I can not tell which songs, but I can not listen to more than 2 of his songs in a row, before I have to go to the bathroom!

I do admit Kanye is a very talented entertainer, and he has a good nose for stage gimmicks and putting up a good show. Moneywise he pulls the right strings, but a creative talent ? Not so much. A Singer...? Huh..IMO And as mentioned above, it's all compensated by his character. I won't feel entertained if IMO the entertainer is a DC (donkey cavity , heehee...did I find an understandable workaround for the a.....e word? Well ... I know... I just had to let it out .

Agreed, but then, the Beatles came up at a time when there WAS a need for what they did. Nowadays there is no need as there already is way too much, and it's all now ... the same! Music that is associated with important social events and times, is always remembered ... well, unless your name is Franco and you pass judgment on most of them so no one will know them after Tuesday! It won't matter which discipline, either! But, honestly? This is happening in many places around the world, starting with China just for fun!
