Keith McMillen K-Mix
Has anyone else tried using this interface? I'm currently trying it out with Sonar X3 on a 64 bit Windows 10 system on a Surface Pro 4(i5(2gHz), 8g RAM). The issues I've run into so far is that when trying to play back files I recorded on my desktop(i5 3.5gHz, 8g RAM) using the ASIO drivers, the left channel either isn't audible or is very faint and distorted. In the Edit/Preferences/Audio menu, instead of stereo pairs, the inputs and outputs are listed as 1,3,5,7,and 9. If I switch to the WDM drivers, I get stereo sound and the stereo pairs are listed in the menu, but the sound is highly distorted. The Windows system audio seems to work fine, and when I relayed all of this to the folks at McMillen, they told me it was a Sonar issue, and they hadn't run into this before. I'm going to try recording some new tracks with it today, and see how that pans out. My intention is to use the Surface as a remote multitracking unit and to do the mixing/mastering on my desktop. Any help or input is greatly appreciated.
