Keyboard Controller Question

I have a Yamaha MM6 and a Yamaha NP 31. I don't want to buy a MIDI controller for my VS 100 if I don't need to. Can't I just use either of these? I am a songwriter who creates songs on the keyboard or piano.

From looking at photos on the web, both those keyboards have midi ports on the back and would connect to the vs-100. Just make sure you connect the out to the in and the in to the out, select the vs-100 in Sonar's midi settings, and you should be set. However I'm not familiar with those keyboards so there may be an internal setting to turn on before they will start sending info to Sonar.

    Hope that helps

I have an old Roland EM 10 keyboard with midi in/out and it works perfectly in Sonar; so if you have midi connections I think you'll be ok.
