Keyboard control

I'm doing something stupid again and again and I don't know what it is.
 
Sometimes, after switching projects or opening a new project or ... I don't know what... The keyboard doesn't control the transport.
 
Space doesn't play.
W doesn't rewind.
ctrl+page-up doesn't move to previous marker.
 
I can click the play button and it works. I can click on the ruler to move the now time.
 
Closing and re-opening Sonar fixes it.
 
Is it possible I have seen the little scissors icon? Am I hitting a quick key that is putting me in some special mode? It is not a problem I remember having in the past.

I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

    A basic question then......are you sure that you have focus set into a SONAR window before attempting to use the space bar to initiate the play transport function?  If you last clicked into any other window outside of SONAR the keyboard won't react.  Just a thought......

    I most def have the focus set on Sonar.
