Keyboard with usb port

Hello friends ,so I replaced my midi keyboard with a usb one ,I'm trying to connect with sonar, in the preference menu I see the usb keyboard ,selected and moved to top ,but It won't play any vst's sounds ,the weird thing is that if I play a song in the sonar you can hear the keyboard play back ,how do i reverse that ,thank you

dell i7 intel core  6500 cpu @ 2.6 ghz 12.0 gb of ram Window 10 home  DAW cakewalk sonar platinum ,

    sounds like you need to set the track's input to the USB keyboard, as opposed to the output.
