    LOL, I saw it yesterday.

The guy standing by her by the door looked about as impressed as I was when she first rose to fame.

    (rose to fame...see what I did there?....gardener, rose.......ok, I'll get me coat)

No need, she seemed to cheer most people up, unless she started hurling over everyone, whilst telling them how much she REALLY loved them, when the camera went off of course...

I think she needs one of these:

I often think that I must be the only person in the world who has seen her live 3, count 'em, yeah I did say 3 freakin' times - none of them on purpose. From what little I remember of those times ( I have tried very hard to erase them from memory) It would be fair to say that she still sounds much the same.

Can't blame her for singing out of tune when drunk, alcohol has the same effect on me. Love her voice though, had a major crush on her when I was a kid.

Yeah that was fun but definitely out of tune. Probably hard to stay in key with all the racket of being on a subway and trying to harmonize with the guitar player was also kind of all over the place.

Drunk doesn't help much either but hey... she looked like she was having fun. That one guy in the foreground not so much. Friggen' tight ass.

so...don't get on a train drunk to sing to people?

I liked her in the '80's as well, but that's a public embarrassment right there!  just sayin'

I see a drunken chick with a reindeer hat having some fun.

I guess I'm not so quite so jaded as everyone else.

Or maybe I just like drunken chicks in reindeer hats.

In order, then, to discover the limit of deepest tones, it is necessary not only to produce very violent agitations in the air but to give these the form of simple pendular vibrations. - Hermann von Helmholtz, predicting the role of the electric bassist in 1877.

She was quite cute about it, but sometimes when you are just wanting to get home you are just happy enough being miserable en-route, without having some drunken chick trying to gee you up.

I have no idea who that is/was. I skipped the 80's entirely, you see. I'm guessing she was some cute bubblegummer 30 years ago?

That wont work, he already thinks you were.

Use my legitimate reason, tell him you've been washing down too many barbiturates with your chloroform that you use to take away the taste of swallowing the contents of an ashtray, whilst you were trying to mimic the call of a Corncrake...

Oh and I left the crucial bit off the end.

...and you couldn't get back into the studio at the time because you were waiting for the ambulance team to arrive in order free your big toe which had got jammed under a door, and they turned up late because one of them rang in sick that morning.

I always think it is best to simply state the truth like that than concoct a feeble excuse.

I think it was the Realtek guy from upstairs. He probably had to drop-out at the last minute.
