Kingston - Crash during comping & audio engine dropouts. (SOLVED)

Hi all - 2 questions:
1- I started doing some comping after installing Kingston and had a few crashes while doing normal editing in the speed comping process.  I haven't done comping in a while, so I can't say whether the same issue occurred for me in previous Platinum versions, but was curious if anybody else has had any issues?  I saved the crash dump file - I will probably send to CW Support if it continues.
 
2- Secondly, I've been experiencing fairly routine audio engine dropouts in the last few Sonar updates, usually when I'm using the jog wheel on my Mackie control surface to scan forward or backward during playback, the audio engine drops out once in a while. It's not a big deal, I can just hit stop / play and it starts up again, but this never used to happen, so was wondering if anybody else has seen similar symptoms?

I am interested in what is included in what is included in what you refer to as "normal editing".
 
I never use the split tool these days since I decided doing so was not in my best interest. It took me awhile to understand the split tool is not the same as the comping tool.
 
I never apply clip fades when comping. What ever goes on in the back ground is fine with me.
 
I never use region effects until I've flattened and moved it to a new track. Not saying they don't work or do. It just seems to be better to wait.

@notscruffy2 - By "normal editing" during comping, I'm referring to mainly: splitting a take into multiple clips, changing the length of a certain clip, auditioning the individual takes, deleting muted takes, removing empty take lanes and flattening the selected clips into the final clip.

I occasionally have experienced audio dropout when using my Frontier Tranzport (yeah...I know it's an antique but useful). This has been happening since Sonar X2, but only when I scroll really fast during playback. Otherwise, I rarely see dropouts.
