Kontakt 2/ Sonar X!

I am currently running Sonar X1 64 bit and Kontakt 2 with windows 7 64 bit  but can't get to work with sonar X1 64 bit system... My question is doses it work with sonar X1 64 bit, if so what am i doing wrong?

    If this is a new install, you have to open Kontakt at least once as standalone, then it will work as a plugin.  (This is a quirk with all Native Instruments plugs).
     
    The only other thing I can think of is Kontakt 2 is 32 bit only.  There may be some compatibility issue with Bitbridge.  If you're doing all the steps correctly, as an alternative, try the jBridge demo and see if Kontakt works with that.

    Back when 64-bit versions of Windows were first rolling out, a lot of people had issues with Kontakt 2 crashing their DAWs. I didn't follow the conversation closely at the time as I was in no rush to go 64-bit, but IIRC I think JBridge was the solution.


    All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.
