Kontakt Guitar Rig/Kontroller Question

I have Guitar Rig 4 with Kontroller pedal.  I'd like to know if it's possible to record the real-time effects, such as wah with Sonar X1.  If not, I don't see a reason to keep the pedal.  Thanks
