Ari, from Heavyocity quickly resolved this problem for me, which I'll pass along:

Hi Dana,
Thanks for the inquiry. It looks like you are experiencing a known bug with Native Instruments Kontakt 5 on specific systems. It is an issue with administrative permissions on folders, where Kontakt 5 cannot add the necessary XML files to the system for the library. This seems to be rearing its head more often with 3rd party libraries as NI updates K5.
To fix the issue, first, Quit all audio applications. Then, please place the attached file in your Service Center application support folder found here:
MacHD/Library/ApplicationSupport/NativeInstruments/Servicecenter/
Or, if you are on a pc:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Service Center
Once the file is there, open Kontakt and make sure the library is added. Next, open Service Center; you should see the library there. Quit Kontakt, and re-open. The library should stay added.
Let me know if this fixes the issue.
All The Best,
-Ari Winters

GP03 Scoring Guitars.xml It wasn't quite that easy, here's my response:
"I knew it would be you, Ari! How are you? btw... that did the trick... however, as a Windows 10 user I was unable to add it directly to the ni account, even though I'm the administrator. I first had to save it to my documents folder, copy it and past it into the ni Service Center folder at which time I got the windows prompt asking, as administrator, if I really wanted to do this, which I said yes to...
Now everything works fine... I'll post your response to the forum.
BTW, loving SG but would love if you were to be able to break up the riffs and drones into more sections and have Kontakt repitch them for different keys.... also, maybe another pack with major chords...
The repitching them would REALLY increase the usability of the library within songs that have progressions...
Awesome product, albeit these restrictions currently limiting it's use in traditional songs. Easily fixable and it would be even more beloved if you guys could do this.
