Korg Triton not triggering any VST's

I am using Sonar X1b. I load a VST but cannot trigger any sounds with my Korg Triton. If I load a VST such as SI electric pianos or Session drummer, I can play the sounds using my mouse. Just not from the Triton. The thing is, this used to work perfectly.  Although I cannot hear any sounds as I play - if I record a vst, it WILL work - just that i can't hear what I am playing.Any help appreciated. I am using the 64 bit version of X1

    I use a Korg Triton successfully with VSTs, and I am able to monitor the sounds with no trouble.  Check to make sure your MIDI input and outputs are correct, and check the global settings on your Korg to make sure it's outputting correctly.  Other than that, I can think of no other reasons you would be having problems unless it's a bad cable.  Hope you solve your problem.

    In Korg Triton, Sonar usually turns off the local control toggle.  Go to Global on the Triton, menu, midi tab, and make sure the "local control on" is checked.

    Thanks Lynn and Alan. In the end I uninstalled and reinstalled X1. That solved the problem! In the past, I would just insert a vst using the simple track and the Triton would immediately be able to play it. I didn't have to alter any other setting. What I eventually found was that whenever I inserted a vst, I had to manually change the setting in the midi track. Now that i have reinstalled x1, I jut insert the vst and play! Thanks again for your suggestions.
