Had to read the whole post to catch onto that one... Does this mean the company will also be celebrating 100 years of Fenway this spring? (hint hint) Just saying.

There are things missing from the online store! I was hoping to purchase X1 Pro on sale, but only the upgrade from 8.5 is available. What gives Andrew? Why not just say "sale on selected items only." Kind regards, Living Room Rocker

Why not just say "sale on selected items only." Kind regards, Living Room Rocker They do offer an upgrade pricing for "any other Registered Cakewalk Customer" at $349 or $258 with 26.2% off I guess the question really is what qualifies as a registered customer? If you download the demo and register it, are you a registered customer? If you purchase the least expensive item in the Cakewalk store, are you a registered Cakewalk customer?

If no one answers affirmatively you can register the demo and then try to buy the upgraded version. The store will tell you if it applies or not by the price it tries to charge you. That's how it worked for me anyway.

This is the SONAR X1 Producer upgrade link and it has several options. Just pick the path you are coming from and then enter the promo code MARATHON. I'll try to be as helpful as possible but I need more information in order to answer these questions. Thanks, Andrew

Andrew, I believe he may be referring to the wording in the Sonar X1 Producer Upgrade page where it says: "]If you are a first time customer please find aCakewalk Dealer near you. There appears no option as a first time buyer, with no registered products, to buy a copy of Sonar X1 Producer from the list. I think that is what he is talking about. How would a first time buyer take advantage of sale pricing (26.2 percent off) when there is no option (at least none that I see currently in the store). If I'm missing something please do show me, but I think that's what he is referring to. But if any purchase qualifies, I guess that covers most cases. Does registering the demo copy count as a registered customer?

Thanks, Jind. That is it exactly. There seems no way to take advantage of the sale for the "full" version of SONAR. In truth, I was hoping to buy the full version for someone else. Kind regards, Living Room Rocker P.S. Perhaps I should have written "...upgrades from 8.5, etc.,..."

Just to confirm....was the Softube Bundle a limited time only purchase? I can't find anyone selling that anymore. I was hoping to get it during the "marathon," special but it looks like that's not an option.

I was hoping to get it during the "marathon," special but it looks like that's not an option. There is a thread in the Sonar X1 forum where this was discussed. Cakewalk is no longer selling the product, but if you buy the Softube Mix Bundle from an authorized dealer (do a google search on Softube Mix Bundle) in it's native VST format, Softube will provide the ProChannel versions once registered (this was stated by a representative of Softube in the thread). http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.aspx?&m=2542826&mpage=1

You can find a dealer here. If you purchase SONAR X1 Producer through a retailer in April, you get both SONAR X1 Advanced Workshop videos free. We also have other retail specials listed here.
