I got an email about upgrading to Sonar Platinum for USD$119.00 (AUD$139.00 for me). This sounds pretty good but I was wondering when this discount expires? I can't see anything in the email. I was going to wait until the end of the week to jump on it, but didn't want to miss out.
I was also wondering about the monthly subscription I have going. I started this in March. Does doing the upgrade just cancel out the monthly subscription automatically?

I received a coupon code that gave me a further discount to the normal crossgrade promotion. Wasn't sure if that was tied to the Sept 23rd date or not. I ended up upgrading last night anyway and boy am I glad I did it. All those extra goodies in Platinum as well worth it.

I saw the DSF HD Yamaha grand for $19.99, and thought maybe....
You used to be able to play/hear examples of that, but they seem to have disappeared.
Anyone have it?
I've been thinking of AAS collection(have EP4 full and some sound banks for the free player), and the more full versions you own the cheaper the whole enchilada gets. So, $49 for the GS2 is a deal, but I don't know that I'd ever use it. I've just past my 52nd anniversary as a guitarist and it's way more fun to simply play it. I do have a Triple Play and wonder what that might allow, but frankly the Sample Tank American Acoustic sounds more like a real guitar, than the videos of GS2.
Anyone?

Yes, the more you own the cheaper it gets, up front. But it looks to me like after the first 12 months, the maintenance cost for Platinum is double the cost of Professional. Have I got this wrong?

Clint, I am not sure if you are referring to a purchase (not looked at them TBH), but Melodyne has finally published their tutorials on YouTube. Early on it was a PITA sharing videos from their site because the URLs were dynamic and could not be directly linked.

While upgrading from Sonar X3 to Platinum do I have to have Internet connection on the DAW PC? Or can I log on to command centre from my office PC and download and take back home to install on DAW PC? -Regards Snehankur

Download the installers directly from your store account just like the X3 download process. Then after installing you will need to authenticate SONAR. The entire process is described in this video
You will not be able to download Addictive drums this way, it requires an internet connection on the machine which will run the software.

I just purchased the Z3TA+2. I've installed it and there is a shortcut on my desktop which I can open and see that the program is there (although I can't seem to minimize the view) and Z3TA+2 seems ok working. When opening platinum, I can't find it. I just assumed it would show up in the VST listings by default. What step am I missing?
